I do believe that is true. My daughter is the EXACT same as her daughter. It seemed like she was describing her. She only washes the dishes once a day. She even told her school counselor that she was a maid at home.

I make mine fold the laundry and unload dishwasher. I gather, separate, pretreat stains, wash and dry the laundry and load the dishwasher. They ONLY fold and unload. You’d think I was waterboarding them every single time. 🙄

Things like water the flowers, take out the trash, put the dishes away, wipe counters, tidy rooms, dust, sweep, etc. We have a big house, big family, so everyone needs to do their part, but boy you'd think we were the meanest parents ever lol

Oh Yeah 💯 the total injustice of unloading the dishwasher, sweeping the floor, wiping down the counter tops, returning cups to the kitchen... So many unrealistic expectations!

When our middle turned 2 she turned into a horror. ONLY at home. I painted her bedroom lilac when she was 12 and she calmed down. Somewhat. Now she is 34 & has 3 Daughters. HAHAHAHAHA

How you say it can be mean if you say it that way but we usually say it and mean it most of the time. Some people can do foolish things and all you can say about them is bless their heart. It’s not hardly ever said as mean but can be.

I’ve watched several of Leanne’s videos, but while watching this one my husband was flipping channels on the TV and couldn’t find anything to watch and got distracted while listening to Leanne’s comedy I was watching. He started laughing out loud. That’s the first I knew he was listening. He forgot about the TV and listened to the remainder of your her show. He loved it!

I like cold, she liked hot, she would cuddle up (i loved cuddles) but then i'd be sweating, so i'd have half of me with no blanket and freezing and the other half boiling hot, oh the joy; She was so cold blood, middle of winter, i'd warm the bed up for her (half hour), she would warm her feet up by putting them between my inner thighs, (would you like to get naughty? Wink...um sweety i'm gonna need an hour to warm my balls up, oh the look of indignation) i didn't know if i would jump through the ceiling or pass out, oh the joy...

I'm the oldest of 5 daughters and often wonder how my mum survived. I have 2 boys and they are easy. So far (8 & 10). Great set! Very funny and I'm not done yet. She's very original and likable. You're going to love her.

I could listen to this lovely Southern lady all day, she ought to read for audiobooks. She could even add commentary, like "what in the heck is _that_ supposed to mean y'all?"

Her daughter was literally me as a teenager. I sent this to my mom and she wholeheartedly agrees lol 😂

I had to watch it twice because I missed everything after mean daughters. I have four who’d rather die than have me even say hi to their friends. I love her! A 21st century Erma Bombeck. I hope she does a sitcom when this whole Covid-19 thing is over.

My daughter is 30 and still mean, she finally had a daughter of her own, after 2 boys. I can't wait for her to be nice again, but I think it will come now! Love this lady!

My daughter had two boys and then finally had her girl at the age of 30. I was hoping that would change her attitude towards me. But she's now 42 years old and still just as disrespectful as ever. I have tried telling her that she is showing her children house she wants to be treated in her later years. It falls on deaf ears. No matter what I do she's never satisfied. And is so rude and disrespectful to me. If I speak up or try to defend myself I can count on not seeing my grandkids for quite a while. I've come to the realization that she's never going to change. She thinks of herself is too entitled. And that there's no problem in her behavior. 😢

I've been the mean daughter and that bit about the cereal is so real. God only knows why the sound of that crunch was so distressing, but I'm thankful my mama didn't take me outside and drown me for my ugly little attitude lmao

Toboggan is what we Tennesseans call Scully's or knitt caps. I can't say how much I thorough ENJOYED this woman!! She just made my heart sooo happy and brought back so many memories. Her voice just made me feel like I was sitting in the living room cutting up with my grannies and aunts. 💜💜💜

It grates me everytime I hear it. I grew up in a place in Florida where everyone sounded like that, and most of them were also very proud that they couldn't read. I'm not saying everyone that talks this way is stupid, this accent does have a pretty lilt, but I just can't...I just can't.

This morning I woke up with my little dog under the covers, back end in my face. The 2 cats were curled up together on my stomach, and now I know it's not the fault of my mattress when I wake up half crippled.😂

I just texted a link for this to my 19 year old daughter (in college). Just wanted to dish some of the meanness right back! 🤣

The most comforting thing about this entire program is she says when her husband is cold he wears a toboggan. I live in NYC and everyone thinks I'm mad if I call a knit hat a toboggan. ❤ It felt like home. :)

One day they will wake up and hate the air you breathe... 4 daughters. Blessed with 4 daughters. Can’t believe Leanne just said exactly that! Our own breath! My baby girl was so mean. I got tired of all the moms praising her at the soccer field. She was about 15. I was 50. Her sweet, momma’s boy, (they always are) brother was 10. One day, I lost it. I looked straight in the unknown woman’s eyes that was bragging about my daughter and told her my girl was nice to everybody, but mean to me! I couldn’t take it back! That woman looked uncomfortable, she was dumbfounded! I tried to clean it up by saying something even dumber. I said, I prayed for a boy, not a 4th girl at 35 years old....and I’m a Psychiatric Nurse🤣

I can tell you, with an absolute certainty that there has never been a woman like that from here in New England! She is absolutely fantastic! Southern woman can be so awesome and she's a stunning example, through and through! I knew a girl who went to East Tennessee University, and she had that beautiful accent, and she was so upbeat and bubbly! Just love those ladies!! "When God made me born a Yankee He was teasing"

I’m watching this in 2023, your delivery timing from this set in 2020 and compared now today is so much better. Love all your stories and love your voice.

It does break your heart. I finally surrendered to the reality and focused on self care instead. Things improved although it didn't matter as much anymore; my goal was self preservation. If I pull she pushes. If I stand still, she kinda does too. I think when they get stressed, controlling their mom feels good. I call her out on manipulation, but give support for the need that drives it. Good luck!

Go to Al-Anon and learn how to have boundaries. Parenting with Love & Logic is a great resource too.

I’m side eyeing my daughter while listening to this in headphones. Then it hit me: I am also a daughter. 😭
