I´m an engine builder from Germany...working on classic car and truck engines plus OM engines like in the vid. If this guy and me would work parallel on the same motor there wouldn´t be any difference in the work you do. Spent 5 years in 3.world countries, building engines, learnd so much from people like him. Summary: They know better! Building this engine reminds me of my mechanic overhauling my Ford Escort 1.6 engine. There are no more this kind of guy who are masters in engine building and repairing. Salute this Afghan mechanics.

Theses guys are 100 time's better than any technicians at all the dealerships in the whole usa...it would take our guy's a month and 100 thousand dollars

We have a classic Mercedes in the shop and its been there so long it would have been quicker to ship it to Afghanistan and have these guys do it.

Um das Fahrzeug dahin zu schicken müssen erst noch 15 Formulare erstellt ,ausdiskutiert,6 fach überprüft,vom TÜV abgenommen und von der Ampel nach 6 Monatigem Streiten genehmigt werden. Dann auf dem Transport dorthin an der ersten Kreuzung kleben 15 Klimaärsche auf der Strasse. Geht also doch nicht schneller😂😂😂😂😂

of the best repairs I have seen in these countries with European specifications with dynamometers with measurements and all the prescribed

Brown aviation gasket maker on the head gasket so old school, i though i was the only one still doing that. Good job. The two young guys will good mechanics in the future.

Excellent job with the minimum of tools and equipment ---- the only noticeable hickup is the fact that the Engine was rebuilt but its still barking out black smoke from the exhaust ----- not normal ---- must be residual oil when the pistons was lubricated in the re-assembling process ----- definitely oil burning --- not diesel --- if it was the injector pump or injectors there would be white smoke billowing out

It is quite normal after rebuild..the stucked engine oil in turbo or engine tubings will be burned out ...first 50 km may be there after that no more smoke

In my country when engine fails, we throw truck or car in garbage and buy new one.

adjusts the valves without filler and then passes the filler to do the check. 30 years, I haven't seen this

Nobody can make an engine as good as the Japanese particularly Honda and Mugen, the Toyota Camry A25A hybrid engine is a work of genius also.

Diesel fuel injection pump..those small covers are valve covers...individual valve covers for each cylinders...

That was completely done and dusted in a hour or so and probably cost less than a grand. Would be literally cheaper shipping him 10 engines at a time and charging 5k an engine rebuild 😂 that is impressive
