I don't want a date on a hand wound watch. I would leave in a drawer for a week or two. Take it out, wind it, set the time and not worry about the date.

I don't buy a watch without a day and date

I have an automatic self winder that I have had since 1981. I had to have the crystal replaced and have since cracked it but it still works.

Chris, If I'm Not mistaken, years ago before Citizen bought Bulova. Bulova took on the Caravelle Collection (made by Citizen), as a Enrty Level Line.

There are some really cool old Bulova devil diver chronograph pandas out there that look amazing. They fade to a grey-blue over time. Just discovered them this week - and "Faded Blue Panda Devil Diver Chronograph" is the best watch description ever.

Reminds me of the Timex & Hodinkee Skindiver i just bought 👍 For those of you who haven't heard of Bulova or Caravel crawl out from under the rock your living under !

My first watch was a new Caravelle Devil Diver with West Germany automatic caliber/movement… and been a watch fan since. Too bad didn’t know they are worth soo much cause sold mine for $200 so I could get a new reissued Devil Diver from Bulova las year which love… I’m obviously not into vintage or would have kept, but appreciate the history & thanks for sharing.

$47! That's really cheap. I was checking on ebay and it's from $550 to $1,200. Gratz on getting it at such a low price.

Great find… I’ve been looking for the Bulova ‘devil’ diver original/vintage for a long time. I have a reissue (green dial) and it a keeper!

This past weekend I finally found one online for a very reasonable price, I set the meet up show up and... what he failed to mention in his post was that it was the woman's version. Needless to say I was so dissapointed that I didn't walk away with one of grails.
