Mell "We went over a lot of info today." So so true but this is important. I think I understand but I could be wrong so its ✔✔ First Phase Prep - 4:55 ✔✔ ✳Whilst hair is wet apply: 1. Moisturizing products e.g leave in condition. 2. Products containing glycerin or other humectants such as 2:17. Tip💡: On curly and coily hair brush evenly for best distribution but ensure looser curls or wavy textured hair is very wet first. ✔✔ Second Phase Style - 7:59 ✔✔ ✳ Section hair for better control then apply: 1. Curl enhancing/defining cream ( Note: it is okay to use products in this step which contain glycerin however ensure that in the poduct listing there are occulsive sealing ingredients that counter it such as petrolatum, mineral oil , coconut oil or dimethicone) 2. Gel or mousse for hold that contains polyquaternium-4 (Or these 10:24 really important for dealing with humidity) Tip💡: Define curls using denmin brush. Style using the 90 degree technique shown here I think. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gmamlqehdbLgZpc.html Tip💡: Dippity doo is lighter than the Aussie which has a heavier cream which is better for thicker hair. ✔✔ Third Phase Finish - 10:30 ✔✔ ✳ Begin hover diffusing I think this is the technique kzread.info/dash/bejne/ho6NvKelj8bfnMY.html Pro tip💡: If humidity is high air dry inside. 🚨⚠ Don't forget happy hour while diffusing. Yes correct me if I am wrong Mell but I believe this is mandatory. ✳ Once dry apply final occlusive product. Tip 💡: Holy Grail for real humidity and thick hair 11:43 ✳ Scrunch and fluff. ✳ Refresh in a couple days. Get products that can be apply on dry hair. Now for bloopies💜💜💜💜💜 "Damm good hair day" True true 🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 "You get the best of both worlds" Chill it out, take it slow Then you rock out the show You get the best of both worlds Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds Oh the nostalgia😅😆😢 🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 "Purplefreak" Mel you know I want that superfreaky parody. And one more thing in the GGD Great Glycerin Debate you said: "We have been really hard on glycerin in previous videos?" 1:21 We??? Me didn't say jack so u could hang your head in shame by yourself lmao. Ah Texture Tuesday I love you and I learnt a lot thank you Mell this was funducational and Amanda we missed you today but thank you for everything you did to make this possible.

I second that! I'm just starting out with trying to enhance my naturally wavy hair and it's been trial and error so far. I have a lot of hair that's not really that fine, so I've always been generous with my products the way curlies are, but I'm finding that for my wave pattern, less is more. I also have stringy clumps at the bottom of my head that don't hold a curl the same way as the hair on the top. Any dedicated insight on type 2 hair would be helpful.

I've been on my curly journey for about 3 years and I've watched A LOT of videos trying to figure it all out, and I have to say, I've had so many a-ha moments watching your videos, and I've learned more from you in this week than I have in the last 3 years. Thank you! I finally had a run of 2 successful wash and styles! That's anazing for me. I can finally wear my hair down most of the day instead of putting it in a bun on top of my head for 6 days until it's time to wash it again and have only 1 good hair day a week. I finally feel like I'm starting to know what I'm doing. Long way of saying THANK YOU!!!

I love watching your videos. I have learned so much over the past month when I stumbled across your video of your wash day routine. I've always had super thick, super curly hair and my Tío is a hair dresser. He gives me alot of tips, product suggestions, always cuts my hair according to my curls. I've learned that I've been using the right products - the wrong way. I would just plop on my curl cream or gel and get to the rest of my day after washing. Watching your videos, I've learned what a wash day should look like - and how to properly refresh my hair when needed. I got a big hair cut this past weekend ( went from down my back length to just about chin length) and my Tío said that my hair looks the healthiest it has been in the last few years.

This video helped me so much. I've been dealing with super frizzy and rough hair for months. I did the strand elasticity test and it broke almost immediately. I went to my products and all of them seem to have a lot of moisturizing ingredients, so I was lost. THEN (!!!) I noticed all of my styling products have glycerin within the first 3 ingredients. I live in the south, where it's always humid even when it's freezing. So I started over. I clarified and followed with a good mask, and switched out my products so I'm only using 1 with glycerin, and layering plenty of polyquats and sealing ingredients over that. One. wash. was all it took. My hair is completely different, just from getting rid of about 90% of the glycerin. Thank you!! ❤️

fussfo definitely style hair upside down, put products in when the hair is soaking wet so the hair doesn’t get weighed down when drying. I avoid products with Shea butter and heavy moisturisers because my fine hair gets greasy and straight easily.

I find sometimes my hair needs more protein and less moisture so styling products with moisture can help but also the right shampoo and conditioners. I mix my hair cream with water and spray it on so it's evenly distributed. It's a difficult balancing act for sure for our type. Maybe try finger coiling or the jump rope technique.

I followed all the steps you provided which made a great difference in my hair. I used Cantu leave in conditioner as the first step. I used the Aussie curling cream which helped create more wave pattern once my hair dried. I used the dippity do mousse instead since I didn’t have the Aussie one. Last, I finished with the Aussie miracle curl defining oil. Thank you so much for this in depth review.. helped me get a better understanding how to use the products step by step. My hair is like your seesters lol more on the longer side and looser waves.

ah isnt that ironic! Sorry to hear about your hair woes! make sure you have a good cleansing shampoo (one with sulphates will do great) and dont be afraid of having them in the ingredients! Try shopping for products that claim to help your hair goal, so to achieve shine, de-frizz, conditioning etc and you will find it! I have shared so many on this channel, one of my favourites like Verb curl cream is a great one!

Do you have any input on water quality and how it affects hair product choices? I live in Ontario and the hard water here makes my hair feel a little more coarse, makes my curl come out and stay in my hair longer. When I go back home to Vancouver each summer, the soft water makes my hair feel really soft, and I have almost no curl, and products behave differently. It can be frustrating trying to predict what types of products to use with the soft water, because I have been in Ontario for 18 years and have become so accustomed to the methods I use now on a daily basis. My hair is naturally normal/fine, Med thickness, wavy. Your Input on water quality and product choices would be appreciated.
