    Oh please make a video for wavy hair. Teach us what are the differences in caring and styling waves compared to curls and how can we best enhance them. My hair is type 2A/2B and I have just started embracing my sad looking wavy hair this year. But these days, I'm feeling sick of making gel casts every time I wash my hair, I just went back to my old routine (wash, condition and add hair oil). Do I even have other options to enhance my waves without the crunch?

    Thank you Mel for posting this video, it really taught me how to properly finger coil my hair. I always wondered why my curls didn’t look good after I finger coiled them, after watching this I learned that I was doing the technique the wrong way. I was grabbing too much hair from the roots and my curls were looking extra frizzy and way too clumped. Thank you for providing us with amazing content! ❤️❤️

    GURL. THIS CHANGED EVERYTING FOR ME. I have done finger curling before but usually I would get lazy or it would take too much time because I have so much hair and it would always end up uneven. But taking it section by section the way you did and raking it to see where the hair already separates made it so much easier. My hair had been going really good and then for some reason the last few weeks it was struggling until I tried this and then my curls lasted for a full week. I had to refresh of course but the actual curls themselves were still in its shape. My next wash day i did a deep condition which helped with my usual frizz and then I did the finger curling and already my hair “remembered” it’s pattern and it was easier to finger curl. This time I used an oil and it brought more shine and I didn’t diffuse it this time. I had absolutely no frizz and they feel so soft. 😭

    Can you do a video on wavy thin hair? Its very hard to find people that have videos on 2b hair and below. Your techniques are great but if I brush through while styling or even just rake my fingers through it, my waves are stripped of their potential to be defined and just turn straight. Thank you 😊

  • @jessicareading3

    @jessicareading3

    Make sure you only brush your hair when it's wet (not damp). Then as it's drying, scrunch your hair upwards using a microfiber towel or t-shirt and you should see that you'll get more waves and not just straight 😊

    wow my mind is blown. I have almost the exact same curl pattern as your sister and I've been finger coiling so wrong! Thanks for this video! Time to start finger coiling in smaller sections so I can start living my best life.

    I just found your videos. And almost in tears because I am old enough to be yalls mom and if I had access to your tips I would have saved so many hideous styles. You are a God send to women like me , who have curly hair and really no idea what to do with it. You're just one more reason to move to Canada. Thank you ladies so much!!

    Because I've found y'all I am tipping to the side of cutting a few feet of my hip length hair to see if I can actually follow y'alls how-to vids and not look like a poodle who stuck a fork in an electric socket. Please wish me luck and say a prayer to the good hair gods.🙏🙏

    OMG I've been finger curling after putting in gel and very unhappy with the results. Thanks for explaining when to finger coil and when to add gel. Revolutionary! I can't wait to try this method.
