More of these Master Class videos please!!
HUGE learning curve on iX20se coming from everything else (nx10se!). I had buyers remorse for a week after dropping 2 grand on a tx. 6 weeks later, I like it! Learning something NEW every trip to the field!🤪
A lot of great details here along with visual walkthrough. 👍👍
Great video
Sometimes, master/slave is the best way to describe the interaction between functions.
Now you need to do one showing how to set up the transmitter's flight modes on the flap switch so that you can trim the ailerons and elevator in each flap position. Also, show how to put the flight modes on the rate switch and rudder stick position switch to increase the elevator and aileron throws whenever the rudder stick is at or above 85% deflection.
😆✈🐨 well explained. Keith Australia
Great video Ali, I actually stumbled upon this on my own the other day while changing the setup on my Night Timber X. I'm still playing with the settings and fine tuning. I'm looking forward to future updates and videos here on this channel.
Nice job Ali, excited to explore my IX20 more!
Thank you.
As a Retired Airline Pilot and instructor , you did a great Video and explain the steps very well ! I would like to see you do instruction video on forward programming. Great job Horizon Hobby, on the Bolsa Ultra Stick easy build ! Would like to see more of these type of airplanes.

One major problem that you need to fix on your radios is the fact that they don’t work well when you have a plane that has four flap servos. What I mean is that you have two flap servos on each wing half. The specific issue is being able to get a precise amount of throw equally across all 4 servos. Meaning if you’re using a 2 or three position switch it is impossible to get an accurate setting when you’re at 0° all the way to 40°. When you try to adjust one servo to align it with the others, all the other servos are no longer aligned. Please fix this.
Very clear and concise, thank you
Great video!
Yes lets make Transmitters more complicated
Excellent! The Crow portion could be a Quick Trick video. Also, is there a way to make the Crow Throttle sensitive? Throttle off is max Crow and as you throttle up it smoothly decreases the amount of crow?
TRYING to download updates but your website keeps giving the good old 404 error. Please fix your website.
Thank You.
Thank you, great video explaining this. I also found that my NX10 also has the crow feature built in to the software if the correct wing type is selected in the setup. This on firmware version 3.06, current at this time (12-08-2021).
Awesome 🤙✈️🇺🇸🤜
Very good video and got a lot of help out of this one. :-) Would it be possible to do a master series on the setup of the Sailplane option for a sailplane that also has a motor ?
I’m using an ix20 and have a dual flap setup on my airplane. When I drop the flaps with the three position switch they travel different amounts of travel. I’d like to match the right wing to the left. How do you adjust the throw ? Set max throw for both and mid flaps should be close? Thanks for your help
It would be nice if you guys taught us how to set up a full house set up on a glider with all the crow and settings that are glider is capable of. I have two 8-ft wigs fan gliders that I would like to set up

@@SpektrumRCvideos Nice and still waiting ! :)
Will the crow feature be added to the ix 12?
How can you disactivate the crow function with a switch ?
How can I male a flap channel inoperative when another channel is active? I have tried and tried . I'm trying to make my flaps go to zero when the wings get swet backwards on an f-14. So that i can not sweep the wing back with the flaps down. As I have done this by accident and broke my flaps. Or have the flap automatically go to zero when the swept channel is activated.
.. still waiting for the Sailplane Master Series PLEASE ?!?
So for instance, you pick the A-10 tail, those four servos would need to plug into their own port in a RX and if not, you would select a standard tail (one ele, one rud) if they are “Y” together..
Is this crow setting available on the IX14?
Is it possible to configure it to a VTail plane?
I noticed you had no elevator mixed in with your flap setting. Does this plane not need it?

The recent IX20 firmware update included the ability to transfer audio settings from one model to another. Please explain how to do this? Also there is now an icon labeled SD on the top of the screen with a curse below it. What is the purpose of this ?
I would like to be able to have a switch to enable or disable crow independent of flaps. e.g. Full Flaps with or without crow depending on a switch. Also would be nice to have the amount of crow related to throttle. 50-100% TH = no crow. 49% TH = 1% crow, down to minimum TH = max crow. Can this be done with this with the IX20SE? I can to do this on my other radio very easily, and it's 1/5 the price of my IX20SE.
Can you make a video descibing how to change stick modes?(1,2,3,4)?
Question: Are there more Spektrum Master Series videos coming?

Yes there are! Sorry for the delay, events and such getting in the way of filming :) stay tuned!
I have a model I have set up using the taileron A tail and notice that elevator compensation in the Flap System menu has no effect on the elevators. If I change the tail type to duel elevators it acts as expected. Is this normal? Using iX20 SE

Do the NX transmitters also have the same wing and tail types available?

No not all of them. the NX10 has most of them but there are types that the iX20 can only perform.

I think if your transmitter has the latest update you even get all these functions on the NX line as well as the IX. I just learned I could do all of this on my NX8 by simply picking the wing type, and crow appears in the menu. I havent tried all the settings he demonstrated yet. The IX just has the spiffy touchscreen.

The Crow column will NOT be available on the iX12 models. But it is on the NX and IX20. This functionality is made possible by the latest and greatest CP processors. Hope that helps!

@@SpektrumRCvideos Hi, that's something I don't understand. I have the IX12 where firmware can be updated but this functionality isn't available? Why ? I bought the IX12 because I expected flexibility (Improvements) via firmware updates but his seems to be limited. Is this transmitter already outdated?

Great video - don't forget to remove the prop when setting up a plane just in case you hit the throttle.
