There are several different strategies to employ when running Facebook ads to promote your music on Spotify. You can start strong and taper off, start small and scale up, or simply set your budget and forget it.
But they all have one thing in common: if you're going to make budget adjustments, you need to do it the right way.
Get it wrong and you could cause your campaign to re-enter the learning phase and lose some valuable data in the process.

    Loving there tutorials! Kepp jumping back and forth between your and Andrew's vids, super helpful. Unfortunately, my ads usually still end up with about 30c per conversion.

    thanks for this bro.... I was in the live last week and had asked is it better to start off with 50 a day or 30.... I went with the 30$ for 5 days and just downscaled to $15 today and did not go into the learning phase like you said... thanks for the advice... I'm about to have my first song reach 1000 streams.

    what type of interests works best? and how many in one ad set? and how many adsets work best for an ad? on a tight budget

    If you're on a tight budget, I'd start with one ad set and split test 3-6 ads within it. Try to get a cold audience of 10-50 million to start.

    @@tomdupreeiii 10 to 50 mil on a brand awareness (start of funnel) or reach looks good i believe. but how do you retarget these with video/ engagement for nurturing? cold targets from 1st campaign should either follow u or land on link in bio , anything else u can think of retarget (for brand awareness/reach)?

    How does this compare to your recent "Lions" campaign where I believe you were doing $50 a day before scaling down to $10 a day?

    This video definitely still applies to the way I do things. I follow this rule when tweaking my ongoing $10 / day campaign, and I also use this method in the event I need to make adjustments to my release weekend campaign. For "Lions" I just turned the campaign off after three days instead of scaling it down due to budget constrictions, but as my budget increases, I will have more overlap and more budget adjustments over time that will definitely follow this rule.

    It's just such a small amount that you're going to have trouble getting any sort of tangible results.

    Digging this! When you’re first starting a campaign, and after a couple hours the cost per conversions are very high, should you immediately make changes or wait it out ? I always begin to panic when it starts off high and I get worried I won’t get enough results within the 3 day window.

    Definitely wait it out. You don't want to touch anything until your ad set has gotten at least 50 conversion events and has exited the learning phase. It should start to come down after that.

    @@ProjectAbdo I would start a new campaign and drastically reduce the number of ad sets you. No more than three ad sets (ideally 1 to start) and no more than six ads per ad set.
