Keith's empathy and understanding is such an impressive personality trait. It's so easy to jump to easy criticisms of popular figures, him pointing out Jojo's never gotten to experience the real world was such an under rated moment. You can tell he's holding a lot of space in the conversation for her human-ness. Really appreciate that nuance in these conversations!

Okay, I had to pause and say a few things: 1. Not-single millennial here, and maybe it's a generational thing: I could never do a soft fade-away! I've had guys do that and I feel like it just wasted my time. I'd so much rather know up front it's not a good fit, and the few times that short convo has happened, I feel like everyone was just like, "Oh, okay. Gotcha. Thanks for letting me know and not leading me on. See ya!" and no one's time was wasted. 2. The worst way a guy broke up with me was after we hooked up twice, had a thousand convos about things we wanted to do in LA together, maybe a Vegas trip in the future, and then he comes out and texts me that he fell into a hole (a literal one) and probably shouldn't date someone right now. Like literally, I asked if he was okay/needed help, and he was like, "Oh yeah. I got out of the hole, but it was a big one in the middle of a street. Anyway, take care." So...hey Josh, if you're reading.

TOPIC: GHOSTING I definitely agree with Miles when he said it’s more polite to ghost over having a played out convo about it. My experience has been pretty similar. Back in 2019, I was a newly single mom, I went out on a date with this really amazing guy. He basically fit all the things and more than I could’ve imagined for my person. We kissed at the end of the date and it felt like I saw the rest of my life with him in it. However, I was in the midst of a nasty custody battle and dealing with postpartum depression. I wasn’t in the mental space to commit to someone I knew was my endgame. I felt overwhelmed and hanging by a thread I felt like I couldn’t add more to my plate. I ended up ghosting him… then he deleted me off of the internet for awhile because I was extremely karmic, dated someone for two weeks in a self sabotaging kind of way. I was very unaware of my commitment issues at that time and needed some serious HEALING. Shortly after that I got into therapy and I started doing major inner work. Around that time, he added me back on social media but he was in a long term relationship. I think I reached out to him immediately and apologized for ghosting him. Then for three years, he and I would message each other when we shared emotional posts or rants on social media. Over time, we built a really good friendship. I felt like I didn’t have much support around me. He was in that long term relationship the whole time and I really felt certain that I missed my chance with him- due to my unhealed decisions. Around 2022, I was in the hospital due to health issues and around this time him and his ex also broke up. I knew I loved him in 2020 but I never expressed it because I respected his relationship and I mean I ghosted him to begin with so how could he believe me??? Pretty quickly after they broke up, we expressed how we truly felt about each other and that was it for us. Within 5 months, we got married. I considered him my best friend for 5 years since we originally met at work in 2017 when he was just becoming a father to his daughter. Basically we met and then went on our first date are extremely pivotal moments in each of our lives! Now we are about to celebrate two years with our beautiful blended family. There’s many lessons in this situation but I strongly believe that everything happened the way it was meant to. So I hope that my story is hope to someone who has experienced anything similar. What’s meant for you is always going to be yours. I don’t know what would have happened if I explained to him what I was going through at the time instead of just retreating and trying to handle things alone. I do know now that he’s the most supportive and patient man I have ever met. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be spend the rest of my life with him and our kids 🥹 Thank you so much to anyone who read this whole thing, you deserve all the blessings and happiness 🫶🏻✨

Oh, that Anchorman 2 story gets me, but I can do better. I had a guy I was dating plan a whole stay-in date where he was going to cook me dinner at my place. He came over with all these groceries, and then he told me he loved me for the first time. I told him I loved him, too. He then, still with his arms around me, told me he was really sorry that he needed to break up with me because his college crush contacted him and they had a great first date already (they went ice skating) and he was going to be seeing her now. He then thought he was going to stay for that dinner like we were buddies. I'd have rather been ghosted.

I have anxiety and ghosting is truly awful bc it's hard to control a thought spiral. The soft fade also feels terrible when you're anxious bc therapy tells you not to overthink and accept the facts. If a guy says he has been busy and then doesnt respond for a few days, i feel it is a rejection but the information given doesn't match. So neither are good communication in my mind.

Maybe it's the millennial in me, but in my opinion ghosting is a no go. Ultimately, if you aren't interested in someone, you really should be able to say that and move on instead of waiting 4 days to respond to their message or whatever Miles said. Its not fair to the other person who's left on the hook. And With that, people should also learn to take rejection better which is probably why there's ghosting in the first place. I hate the "we're just hanging out" bs because emotions often get involved. Similar to asking someone out, I think there should be some agreed communication for non-relationships, too.

Most insane breakup story of all time: i know these dudes, twins, who were both dating girls they didnt like all that much but were too non-confrontational to do anything about it. One of them got a job that required him to move completely across the country, like 5000 km away, and he decides to just move without telling the gf. His brother hears about this and thinks oh damn what a good idea, im gonna move there with you. So they proceed with the plan and when the girls hear from them, they think huh weird that they forgot to tell us. And they both packed their bags to move 5000 freakin km to follow the guys!!! I dont remember how they actually did the breakups but they did both eventually manage it.

The show idea of making celebrities pose as normal people, I believe there’s a similar show from 2009 or smth called “I Get That A Lot”. Nick Jonas and Paris Hilton were on it

So much love for jojo and I really hope she is in a healthy environment now but to add to the discussion it is bonkers to me that she said on the show special forces she had NEVER been away from her mom and family for anything more than 24 hours…

As silly as it might sound the song "break even" really makes sense for me with breakups it's rarely ever even. I think that's why they always feel so mean.

@@robo7643100%! But i also think there is a difference between holding someone accountable for their actions and doing what the internet has done to Jojo. She isn't virally hated because people are morally opposed to her actions. She is virally hated because it is the funny cool thing to do.

Thank you for not jumping on the bandwagon and ripping Jojo apart. I see a young woman who has made mistakes (probably due to a lack of good management honestly) and who we have seen deal with a batshit childhood. That much attention on a child is insane. The fact that ppl haven't learned a thing about judging kid stars from Brittany or Miley's stories is just crazy. I never cared about Jojos work. I'm too old to have been into it. But it's covering my feed now. So here I am with an option.😂

I would LOVE a heist video!! Like a Brooklyn Nine-Nine Halloween Heist, the TGs should do it in their office and have Rachel choose an item of emotional value and the guys need to try to steal it before time runs out. That would be so fun

I've broken up with 2 guys over text. The first was on accident because he picked up on the weird vibe and asked me outright and I can't lie to save my life, so he knew I was lying when I said no so I had to come clean. It's one of my biggest regrets in life cuz he was actually a really good guy I was just in a terrible mental place and needed to be on my own. The second time was because the guy had threatened to kill me if I left him. So I decided I was never going to be alone with him again. No regrets for that one even though I had been on and off with him for almost 10 years.
