I love how the biggest news in this episode isn’t the fact that Shayne and Courtney are married but Amanda encouraging fans to make a car crash/honeymoon edit of her and Angela 😂

Amanda’s advice is so similar to what my grandparents always said after almost 70 years of marriage. They always said “never go to bed angry” and “always apologize to each other”. I miss them a lot and take their advice every day with my fiancé.

Congrats! I think waiting until they were married was probably the best for their relationship. They didn't have to worry about fans debating on if they broke up what would happen to smosh. They got to truly get to know each other on a different level and enjoy each other without fans getting into their business. They both look so happy.

What's actually funny is that I stopped watching Smosh after the golden era, so I had no idea that they hired all these people, etc. I watched a couple of videos after Anthony announced he was coming back to Smosh and with all the videos where Courtney and him were in the same video, even if they weren't next to each other, I was like... they have to be dating. Words can't properly describe how amazing the individuals at Smosh are. Every single person, from the entertaining joksters we see on these videos, to the individuals behind the scenes. I mean, I feel like there is a distinction between the "oh, they are cute... wow, they spend a lot of time together... wait.... that's Shaynes shirt?!" group and the "here is the family pictures I found on his moms social media and people are stupid for not seeing what I'm seeing & I just found the marriage certificate" crew... ya know?

My favorite part of this episode was when they just started talking about normal podcast stuff like reddit and video games, and Shayne could just casually mention hearing Courtney's gamer noises from the other room. Perfect example of how content won't change but they can just be free now.

Literally like maybe it's kind of parasocial of me, but its so sweet being able to hear them being happy and open with each other. And like I don't think anyone really wants or expects the content to change or for them to let the audience into their entire lives, it's honestly more sweet and exciting to just hear the little morsels that they're happy to share.

If they tell how it happened, great! But if not, we have to respect that too. I hope most smosh fans can be normal about this and just accept that it's their choice how much they want to tell.

I don't think there's any better example of a 'full circle' moment than Shayne telling Courtney '' I'll see you on Monday'' at their call back, and then doing the hard launch on the same week day

Courtney opening about not feeling safe about how some people were treating their relationship online should be a wake up call to fans who just love to play "detective." I'm sure one of the things that made her feel afraid was how a lot of "fans" were so invested in their home (trying to prove they lived together) and broadcasting it online.

Fun fact: my uncles favorite holiday is April fools day and planned their wedding on April fools day. The whole wedding everyone is like “what’s the joke there has to be something”. I don't get the stigma with calling someone as someone else's spouse. Like, to me the phrases "Shayne's wife" or "Courtney's Husband" are equivalent terms. People have attached a lot more connotation to saying that 'x' woman is 'y' s wife due to humanity's history, and I think we need to re-normalise both terms and meet in the middle.

I love that this both offered more insight into their marriage but took a hard turn into just who they are as people, which I think is the healthy side of fan curiosity. Wanting to know what brings joy to the people who bring joy to you.

This is crazy, I love you guys. You two will always be more than just Shayne's wife or Courtney's husband because to me you two will always be remembered as my favorite members of the cast, whether you're together or on your own you always make me smile.

I was thinking back to the "who knows me best" vid with Damien, Courtney, and Shayne; just randomly had the thought that Courtney is no longer the "work girlfriend" and is now the legit wife. Congrats to you both!

I'm a 48 year old mom of a 17 year old kid. We've watched Smosh together since the Summer Games era. I'm not always in the loop with online news. One of the, if not the, sweetest and cutest comments I’ve ever read on KZread.

It’s truly sad how Courtney is scared of being pigeonholed into only being seen as “Shayne’s wife”, because I truly see her to be just as much of the backbone of Smosh as Shayne. Shayne is very funny, but he’s also on the more reserved side, and I think Courtney balances it out by being THE glue that holds the cast, new and old, together. It’s true that friendship is the heart of Smosh, and I think friendship includes the welcoming arms of a friend AND the laughs you have together. They’re amazing individuals on their own, but together they’re powerful. Best Friends to Lovers to Marriage? That’s basically Ianthony at their peak. It’s also amazing just how talented Courtney is on her own, and how generously she shares that talent with us. The liveshow trailers are always the best part of the liveshows to me.

My experience was that I saw a comment on a shorts that was a clip from TNTL. It was the clip where Shayne was pretending to be someone who has no clue how to talk to a girl. Someone in the comments said something like “this is even funnier when you realize they might maybe be married.” I thought it was the shippers starting rumors or being crazy again. Then the comments said there were pictures posted on social media. Then I also realized what day it was and that they posted on April 1st

Finally got around to watching this and I just wanted to comment and say that I'm so grateful to Shayne and Courtney for feeling comfortable with talking about this and being so open and personal with us. I know we're just viewers and we only get what you want to show us, so I feel a little emotional that you're being so open to us. I only wish the best for you both and I hope you guys continue to only share what you are comfortable sharing and not what the audience wants to see/hear. There are definitely people who are sooo invasive and if that ever happens, i hope you guys will put your foot down and not let them control you or make you feel like you HAVE to share something.
