You don’t have to set the touch screen to your main monitor. Just go to tablet settings and identify which screen the touch input controls. This way it is also possible to use multiple touch screens.

I hope this doesnt come across as too critical, but it would be nice to see you branch out more from just "buy X new thing to improve your setup". For example, while you could buy one of these displays, much could be acheived by buying a second hand monitor or even repurposing a laptop display using an appropriate driver board (which i believe could also alllow for touch inputs). Sadly i know algorithmically videos like this will do better, but there are plenty of ways to improve a setup without potentially producing e-waste. Possibly you could recommend more software or eco friendly alternatives moving forwards alongside the main product on display, as you did with ear trumpet in this video. I obviously also understand their are subjective improvements in things like the aspect ratio of this display, or physical inputs.

I really appreciate this comment. You hit the nail on the head. KZread and the algorithm make it difficult to explore beyond what "you're already known for". I'm with you though, I've got software only and budget friendly setup videos in the pipeline, and this comment has gone a long way to show me that there is interest in those types of videos. Thanks again for your feedback and for being part of the community.

I've been interested in this screen to have as a volume controller. I'm not sure if it is better than a physical knob like the pc panel mini. I want to be able to adjust the volume and probably be able to quickly mute my microphone in discord if needed. After using both for the control of the volume what do you think is the best option? I don't care to much passive uses like cpu/gpu temps. But maybe there are other widgets that are helpful.

I surely did not think of using the screen vertically, I will have to try! I'm considering a long mini monitor for on use as mirroring the keyboard layout but with descriptive text or icons replacing the default key caps when the alt/win/super/menu/shift or it is in modal mode with an application. This would use a Raspberry Pi 4b in USB-C host mode between the keyboard & mouse. There would be a Linux/Window/Apple client detecting which application is taking keyboard input & which modal state the application is in. ( easy enough to do on Linux with NeoVim & Emacs, difficult to do with proprietary applications on Windows may have to use HDMI split-er to HDMI to Camera interface on PI screen reading recognition ) This could allow you to set up really complex macros & scripting. The mini monitor would positioned above or below my main monitors, connected to the Raspberry Pi not connected to the PC. It would be a great tool for learning application keyboard commands keeping your hands on the keyboard. Starting with opensource NeoVim/Emacs/Visual Studio to complex apps Resolve.

I’m sorry that the following is so negative, your Videos are really high quality and I totally appreciate the insights you share. For me those mini screen gadgets are totally missing the point configured like that. It feels like a money grab looking at the productivity tech crowd. Screens and computers are so useful because you can change the content on the screen and having such a high quality display only show secondary information that doesn’t need refresh rate or quality is kind of missing the point. I like to minimise my to-dos and calendar once I get to work because it would otherwise distract me from the task at hand. I can easily tab into all the information these little screens supply and it doesn’t add the bonus of „where was my window spawned“ that sometimes comes with windows and multi screen setups. Tactile gadgets like knobs and macros that open this information on the main monitor are much more my style. That said this is just my opinion and I’m sure other people have other preferences, I don’t want to start a fight lol

Glancing "away" from a main screen is not ergonomic - its slow. All these apps can be on a main display triggered with keyboard shortcuts and hidden when not in use if you don't want screen clutter. Respectfully you are trying hard to justify desk clutter that isn't necessary. Cheers
