Believe it or not, AdamAnt literally inspired me as a young black kid in da hood. He was an eccentric artist to me. I was the ONLY fan in my home and amongst peers. My brothers thought I was weird because I was a huge fan. Lol The drums drums drums. Driving beats, native American undertones, African rhythms, high energy, costumes, war paint make up and overall theatrics captivated me!!! I LOVED Adam and the ANTS AND I WAS ridiculed for it...HOWEVER... "Ridicule is Nothing to be scared of"!😉 -Prince Charming (Adam Ant)

Just saw Adam Ant last night in Phoenix, Arizona with the English Beat opening. He still had 2 drummers and put on a great show. What a wall of sound...he can still Stand and Deliver !

I saw him live a few years ago at the British Motogp. He was the main evening act. He was absolutely, unbelievably brilliant. Me and my brother were two gobsmacked 50 year olds..... he sounded exactly like he did in the 80s we grew up in. He had all the same moves and told a few stories throughout his act. I have to admit, I felt completely overawed 😁

Saw him in June 2022 just like you say, awesome voice, amazing, just incredible. Maybe the moves were a little less energetic, but still all there. What an absolutely amazing night I had. Got to say, the best night of my life. AND YES he did sound exactly like he did in the 80's!

And yob didn't get the slipper as they called it (really a trainer ) across the backside. Our teachers were all brutes even after they stopped corporal punishment the teachers still had a pump in the drawer tk hit you with in 1981

Adam and the Ants were MASSIVE in the very early 80s - such a distinctive sound and a bit of dramatic flair. Awesome. I loved em.

I’ve waited over 40 years to see Adam Ant perform this song live and I finally got my chance in Southampton last weekend. It was worth the wait! The man deserves much more recognition than he gets!

I was way too young to see him back in the 80’s, lol. I saw him in late 2019, when he did the entire Friend or Foe album, and a once few years before that. Loved it. This was always one of my favs.

My youth, life seemed so simple back then , great tune and great times

I remember in 1981,cycling three miles to a neighbouring village to buy an Adam poster ,the same week bought kings of the wild frontier on cassette and a sew on arm patch , 😂

Damn! This guy got the beat down to an art .

My grandkids absolutely love dancing to this song when we play KZread dance party. I love being able to share these fun songs with them... Getting a break from baby shark is also a big plus!

December 13, 1982 Paramount Theatre, Seattle, WA, I was 25 and stone in love with this music. A record store had the video of “Antmusic” and they play it for people who asked. We were in there Every. Damn. Day. When they broke over here, we were blown away. No one had made anything like this, and TWO drummers?!? 😮😮😮 I’ve loved this ever since. I’m 65 now and dare somebody to tell me this is just old. I wish an mf’r would. 😂

As an English 19th c. lit major in college in the late 70s/80s, this man was IT! Celtic Drums, theatre, Byronic hero, noble savage, everything I was reading made very modern and real. I always admired him for that, and still do. There was a lot of great music then, but I think this was my absolute favorite song!

Yes, you describe it well. My major first crush that's for sure. As a middle aged lady I queued in Waterstones for his signed biography when it came out. Great fun with people dressed up and I felt oddly emotional when I met him ! Started babbling about what they'd meant to me. Oh dear. He drew a heart in my copy of the book. Swoon😂

Man! Adam Ant had the same level of the greatest musicians and singers of the music history. Like Elvis, Jim Morrison, Michel Jackson. He is A genius! Nobody broke the musical standard in the industry and innovated as much as this man, it's almost unbelievable how he didn't get stuck in the underground scene and became one of the biggest pop culture idols in the late 70's and become a big star from the 80's in Europe and the United States . It would be asking too much for the general public to understand what Adam Ant's music is. I am happy to announce that I have discovered this musician, and I am happy that he still has a loyal following today. I'm 33 years old.

Adam definately the same 'uniqueness' that Elvis also had, I'm a big Elvis fan. I liked Adam and the Ants when I was growing up, showing my age now, not listened them for a while but their music still sounds fresh and brings back so many memories. Adam was definately a great performer and great looking too.

This track is so innovative and interesting. Seems incredible that this was once considered disposable 'pop' music.

My introduction to rock music aged 6. 40 years and 10,000 albums later I still play this regularly.

It's a brilliant, evocative song - Adam Ant has such charisma - he also was my first crush, lots of posters of him and the Ants on my wall growing up in the UK!

Forty years on, and it sounds still great. This is a pop classic. Adam had it all, great looks a memorable image, and a fantastic band. I haven't heard it in many years, but it has stood the time. Pop Music B.C (Before Cowell). I wish Adam well.

The music was great, the look was so unique and this guy was not only talented but also totally f-ing drop dead gorgeous. That combination of traits was enough to sweep fourteen year old me off my feet and spark an interest in “alternative” music. This album was and still is my favorite!

Adam and the Ants, an unique style, an unique music with great musicians and a charismatic frontman !

The message in this song is so beautiful... People who don't like it just don't understand. These guys are genius!

I love Adam Ant. I've been listening to this song for days on end now. Sometimes you just gotta have Adam Ant.

It just occurred to me that Adam Ant is one of the most sensational performers this side of Elvis Presly. after finishing up a date in Hollywood CA we ran into "the King of the wild frontier" himself while filming a movie on a side street in Hollywood. it was a end to a perfect night as we briefly introduced ourselves and left Hollywood.

Adam aka Stuart Godard was too good looking to be recorgnised for the musical genius of which he was a part - him and Marco. He was devastatingly gorgeous.

These guys were the bomb. As an young latina 7th grader growing up in Echo Park, I was totally taken by this music!!

Vitreous Lamella Adam and the Ants were from the tail end of the 70s...their biggest hits came in 80 and 81 but, in truth, they did not really reflect the 80s at all

He was pure theatre, and he did it well, I remember when he first came on the music scene, you couldn’t go in to a pub “going back when we had real DJs” without hearing the likes of Adam and his Antz, plus some real good sounds from that era..

It was the drumming on this track which gave my very first eargasm at 13.

This album was on repeat and repeat ant repeat at my house in 1983

Must be one of the best drum beats of any pop song, it drives the song gives it so much energy , still tap it out often today!

I love how Adam ant lets the drums be so loud in his songs. You knows it’s a Adam ant song when you can hear those drums. This guy is just on another level.

I always dreamed of marrying Adam Ant. I'm 53 now and it never happened. He was the ultimate teenage girl fantasy.

My parents have had me listening to this since I was a baby! Adam and the Ants were just in my hometown last night and did a concert. I so wish I could've gone. My parents went and said it was spectacular! My mom said Adam is still hot! ;)

I Loved ADAM ANT so much, 😍 I called my FIRST Child ADAM when he was Born in 19.85. 🥰 I ALWAYS played " PRINCE CHARMING" to him TOO while dancing around the Kitchen with Him. Even My Grandchildren LOVE ADAM ANT now Too ❤️❤️❤️💗❣️

As Soon As Adam And The Ants Came On The Scene ... I Quickly Dropped My Loyalty To The New Romantic Bands Which Were Extremely Popular At The Time ... I feel the same about the passing of time since this song was released, Eric - only seems like the other day... I was seventeen in nineteen eighty when Adam and the Ants became very successful in the pop charts for an all too brief period of glory, but songs like this stay in my memory forever, as pure nostalgia for youth.

The King of Pop never credited Adam Ant for inspiring his iconic military look. He saw this vid on TOTP during a visit to London in '80 and was "blown away", he even phoned Adam about the jacket. I LOVE the drums in this tune!

The jacket that Adam wears in this video and Antmusic is the actual jacket worn by David Hemmings in the film "The Charge of the Light Brigade".

Adam was the best with The Ants...outstanding song and video. Not to mention the fact that Adam is just one example of why men should wear makeup..lol.

@@garybradley1 and update: since I have new guitar amp and pedal gear, I can finally play the sound too. Man, although it's 39 years ago, I can still indulge in a boyish pleasure to imitate my fav band from then.

@@garybradley1 don't mind the mirror, whatever confronting it may look. It is the mind that tells you how old you feel. Be open for new things. Wrinkles are just lines of experience that nobody can ever take from you.

Two first albums I ever bought, Blondie parallel lines and Adam and the Ants Kings of the Wild Frontier. The flippin business.

This guy started my love of music. From him I explored my parents records.Plus I now always have a thing about a good track with serious drums and/or the bass guitar. Never fallen out of love of any of them. Adam lives always in my heart as the person who kindled my music addition.

I wish someone would bring back this look!

So awesome in concert. Saw Adam Ant on his Goody Two Shoes tour in 83 with INXS. Double headline bill ... fantastic night!

I have always loved Ant Music and I am pretty certain that I always will. GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!
