I'm 100 percent heterosexual and will say that is one good looking dude!

I saw them on that tour in 1982 in San Diego at the Fox Theatre. it held maybe a thousand people, maybe less. and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. feels like yesterday. The live sound was better than the record. Just huge, but not over the top. the horns, the guitars, 2 drummers, and Adam was spot on with all of it. There was a kid that showed up dressed EXACTLY like Adam (the Indian paint pirate look) and Adam stopped the show and got a flash light and walked off the stage with the mic and talked to him for a min. it was LEGEND.

I am 55 and the 80's nostalgia is hitting me hard!

@@BRUTUSPLAC To be completely honest, I haven't even bothered to watch MTV since it became pretty much all "reality" & game shows, so probably sometime in the late-90s... If I want to find a music video, I'll try here, but even most of those are done by fans, so it isn't the same (although a few are quite good, not just a "slideshow" with the track playing)...

Saw Adam & the Ants in concert back in '83 in Miami, they were headlining along with Wall of Voodoo. It was a great show, wish I could go back in time to those days. 80's music was the best!

@@marinajane7749 hello fellow South Floridians. The show was actually in Dec. 1985 (unless the two played an earlier one in '83) and was at the Sunrise Musical Theatre.

One of the finest examples of early 80s MTV music being creepy/spooky sounding. Love it!

Oh, how I love a beautiful man...eye-liner, lip gloss...pure gorgeousness!!! I first saw this video in the early '80s and I was in l-o-o-o-v-v-v-e. Adam made the '80s sooo good!

2023 and this music is still better than most of the shit they have nowadays. LOVE ADAM ANT. ❤❤❤❤

Love the instrumental in this song, especially the horn parts. 80s alternative music was so experimental and diverse.

I'm 53 and he still makes me blush ( and always will).

i dated a girl in high school (class of '83) that was totally ape over adam. she even carried a polaroid of him in her purse that she took from the tv. i always felt second rate bc i was micheal anthony hall in her eyes. anyhow, if you DO marry adam, i would like to attend the ceremony

Yes, 5 of his albums are all masterpieces - “Dirk Wears White Sox”(1979), “Kings Of The Wild Frontier”(1980), “Prince Charming”(1981), “Friend Or Foe”(1982), and “Vive Le Rock”(1985)….all great, timeless, unique and inspirational.

Going to be 49 years old and still love Adam Ant.

WITHOUT question--the most stylish performer of the 80's--and it ain't even close!! Saw him live at Ritchie Coliseum on the University of Maryland campus in 1983-incredible show-he was phenomenal!! I'll never forget all the cute girls who were there--they went absolutely NUTS over him!!

He's Prince without the creepiness, he's Bowie without pretension, he's a less "German" Falco... He's a sex god in a genre filled with guys who look like Elvis Costello or Thomas Dolby. He wears glitter-punk warpaint and outfits from Napoleon's yard sale...yet somehow projects palpable masculinity (only a truly hardcore sonofabitch could dress like that in public unironically) He is the patron saint of the New Romantic aesthetic... We desperately need more like him, especially now.

​@negascoot23 Agree with everything you wrote but... I don't associate creepiness with Prince. He was a mysterious man for sure and a musical maestro. In short, he was an amazing talent. I have been a fan of Adam Ant since 1980. I was 12 years old the first time I heard him. Instantly loved him.

Friend Or Foe is Adam's best album and this track has always been my favorite.

I finally saw Adam Ant in concert a few days ago. He was every bit amazing as I dreamed he would be. My inner 13 year old is still giddy with happiness.

I've seen him recently-in the dressing corridors when I worked security at the Hard Rock Orlando. He's older (the man turns 58 next month) and as dashingly handsome as ever. The women were screaming when he performed 'Strip'. He's still got it.

Saw him live a few years back at G-Live, Guildford, he was fantastic, probably one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.

In high school in 1982 we used to listen to WRKR out of Racine because WKTI in Milwaukee didn’t play songs until they made the Top 10. WRKR played songs like this and Casey Kasem.

If one who lived through the 80's era was asked in the year 2022 to sum up the decade; this video would be all you'd need. EVERY 80's element is present in this video/song....moustaches, horn section, synthesizers, massive reverb on the guitars, spandex, zipper vests, scantily clad bleach blonde, dark alley way, bandanas, fog machines...all it's really missing is a pyro element.

Wow. Haven't thought about or heard an Adam Ant song in years. I liked this one back then. He was a very sexy good looking man. His face is gorgeous. I liked his style and dance moves.

I adore Adam Ant! So underrated. Thank God for youtube so I can relive and discover more of his genius. I was only around 8 when his music was out originally and even then he caught my attention. Holy Moly he is so sexy! I had and continue to have good taste!

So I can watch Adam lick his lips and give a cheeky grin. Nothing Adam did was ever unplanned, when it came to his videos (although there was some improv in Goody Two Shoes due to time and money constraints). He took a copious amount of notes and story-boarded everything. He could tell you today if someone was supposed to give a wink and didn't. Oh, yes. This man knew *exactly* what he was doing. :D

I had such a HUGE CRUSH on Adam Ant back in the day....sigh.

I was born in '73 and in the last decade or so I've been remembering all these songs that I listened to growing up riding around with my older brother and from all the videos I watched on MTV. Such great songs. I honestly can't stand 99.9% of today's pop music. At work, I'm around all these 20 and 30 somethings that listen to utter garbage but I'm able to play my music after they leave and enjoy quality tunes like this.

I first heard "Desperate But Not Serious" back in the 1980s, on a Sicilian night radio programme playing new wave bands. I got bewitched at once.
