It's a local guy from St. Louis named Aaron Rabe. I've met him. He is Jack Sparrow more than Johnny Depp.

Adam needs to do Barbossa; his facial structure is closer to Geoffery Rush's than Johnny Depp's.

I think Adam would be one of the coolest guys to hang out with. Even if I had my choice of any celebrity, I'd still probably choose Adam. He always seems so happy and wants to just play around with movie props, costumes, and build really cool things all the time.

Rchamcat Doestuff I think Adam is interested in science stuff too he just isn't as technical/serous about it. Jaime reminds me of a college science professor in terms of formality and Adam is that goofy high school teacher that loves to involve things like fire into a lot of the experiments lol Wouldn't mind meeting either of them regardless.

I live really close by to where dragon con is held, and I must say it is really cool seeing this take place in an area I am so familiar with.

The 2nd jack sparrow deserves recognition for how spot on he was. He looked exactly like him facial wise, had the accent, movements etc. he tripped me out for a minute

I did my hubby up for Halloween as Jack a few years back and he looked AMAZING! This look is GREAT!

The one in the middle was me. I had actually drank an entire bottle of rum the night before. I slept 1 hour, and walked 9 blocks in full garb to the parade that hot morning... I walked the one mile parade and thought I would truly die this time..... 95 humid degrees.....Fox 5 news Atlanta put a microphone in me face and I almost puked on the reporter after the parade... How I survived that hot day I truly don't know. We talked w Adam 10 minutes or so and I did not have a clue it was him. He was very nice to us. I had me frock in me hand dragging it on rhe floor....I have come a long way in the past two years with playing Jack. And I have to admit that spending most of me time in St . Augustine Fla. is a pirate's paradise. We harass the tourists constantly. But I shall never drink an entire bottle of rum in one night by meself again.....I am 315 years young and the hangovers hurt far too much...It's a pirate's life fer me....Savvy ?????? ;-)

Cpt. Jack was my first cosplay at the age of 9 or 10!! I had period accurate fabrics, custom sewn, a real flint lock with my grandfathers name engraved, the Cpt. Jack replica sword you can buy (far too long to wear properly at that age)....I'm very familiar with all the tiny details in that costume. Nostalgic to watch a master do it!!

There was a Jack at my local convention who honestly had me convinced he was Depp incognito for a while.

Dragon*Con started as a literary convention, so there is a bigger emphasis on books and literary themes. Fewer vendors, more cosplayers. Lots of panels on a wide array of topics. They have the big ticket mass media panels, but lots of costuming, writing, gaming panels etc. I feel it's the the premiere costuming event in the U.S. Heck, they have an entire parade for costumes! It has a very very different vibe from other cons. I recommend going at least once.
