@@ania5038 I don't know, it's just a role he played later on in his career. A generation knows him as Jack Sparrow, but a lot of people still mainly remember him as Tom Hanson, Benny, Edward Scissorhands and Hunter S. Thompson.

How Johnny managed to avoid breaking down emotionally and stay in character the whole time I'll never know. What a kind and generous soul.

I've done construction work in Iowa City at the university children's hospital. We had EXTREMELY limited contact with the patients/families other than the fact we were in the same building and would sometimes pass in the public areas. And that place f'ing wrecked me. Seeing the faces of the parents who's kids are there for whatever reason (none of them good, you don't go to UICH for the sniffles) was gut wrenching. I have a son that was young at the time, and all I could think was "there, but for the grace of God, go I." ANYONE that works with and helps these kids deserves the blessings of a thousand gods.

This is so pure. What's happening to Johnny Depp is so sad, he needs justice.

Though she has no evidence to suggest such a thing, whilst Johnny Depp has both pictures of bruising, witnesses and recordings both voice and I believe even video of her behaviour. Definitely has her admitting on recording that she hit him though.

They gave him a chance, he was proven in a court of law in the UK to be a "wife beater". He was denied an appeal in the UK to that judgement. He was found to have beaten Amber on at least 12 occasions. What were Disney to do with an actor in children's films that had a reputation for behaving terribly in real life?

I could never be a celebrity.

My disabled son was an in patient at great Ormond street hospital London when Johnny visited the children wards in his famous Jack Sparrow costume. He spent over 4 hours with the children and he gave them 100 percent of his attention. He was engaging, warm, humble, gentle and genuinely kind. He brought so much happiness that afternoon to so many sick children, some with terminal illnesses. I will be forever grateful to Johnny for putting a smile on my little boys face at a dark time in his young life. To be falsely labelled a 'wife beater' is a terrible thing. He is very brave to stand in A London court everyday for 3 weeks and to have his personal life exposed for the world to see. The British public love him and he has so much support here. I hope he wins his case. I'm team Johnny all the way #TeamJohnny

If I have it right a child at GOSH wrote to him saying he liked Jack Sparrow so he freed up his diary to see him. I think his daughter was seriously ill at GOSH and he was so grateful for what they did I think he gave them £1m.

Johnny has been dressing up and visiting sick kids for SO long! He is just amazing what a kind soul.

This is why Johnny Depp is the man… despite all of his struggles and tribulations he is just a kind person

He actually did this for free. It was his idea. He just really loves children and wanted sick children to hopefully forget they are sick for at least one day. What an amazing man.

He’s empathetic and kind beyond words.” She went on to talk about what a bright light he is to all the children who enter his orbit. I’ve never forgotten that. Something of which, in this day and age, isn't terminal unless you purposely put off going to a doctor when you have symptoms. What's the point you're trying to make? I agree, and unfortunately, Narcissistic people are drawn to those like Johnny because they want nothing better than to destroy them. It all comes down to jealousy. It isn't going to work though, Amber Heard is showing the world what a vicious and hateful person she is! After this trial, I doubt she will have any fans left, or will work in the industry again. It is just deserts. In the meantime, Johnny Depp is becoming more popular especially with those, like me, who thought he was just another entitled, egotistical, self-centered movie star. I'm so glad I found the truth, I truly admire this man.

Did you know that Ted Bundy once worked for a crisis hotline? Not only that, but was fairly good at his job too. While I agree with the majority who say Johnny Depp is innocent and Amber Turd is guilty, outward appearances are often just that. A similar example might be Robin Williams. The man spent his life and career making others laugh, meanwhile he was silently suffering from crippling depression until he took his own life. Anyway, my point is appearances can and frequently are deceiving.

The strength these children have is amazing. I commend him for his also. I got lost in a hospital once. Ended up in the children's cancer wing. I saw 2 children both bald. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was an emotional wreck for the rest of the week. Always brings a smile to my face seeing people bring or try to bring some fun and happiness to these kids.

What's even more admirable about this is that Depp has social anxiety. As a sufferer, myself, I know this must be challenging for him to be among groups of people interacting. It would be much easier for him to avoid these scenarios and stay home and donate money instead but he chose a more difficult route. Kudos to him.

I've actually heard his friends describe him as quite social and outgoing, generally, despite the fact that he is pretty shy/socially anxious. He likes to have fun and have a good time, they say. And many in his life noted that changed after Amber entered his life. He became more withdrawn and recluse.
