BC Children’s is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to the care of children. That means one million kids-including some of the sickest and most seriously injured-count on the hospital for specialized care they often can’t receive anywhere else. Last year, more than 96,000 patients visited the hospital-which not only includes its acute care centre, but also its research institute, mental health facility and rehabilitation centre.

I get that he couldn't live with people thinking ill of him nor did he want his kids to deal with all of it either. I see a man who cares about the innocent and suffering. He couldn't take these people, like the sweet young lady who I suspect developed a bit of a crush that day, thinking he was the terrible man he was being painted as in the press. Glad he was vindicated.

Seeing these little ones suffering like this is heartbreaking. Seeing Johnny Depp stay in character to cheer them up is heart WARMING. Bless you and bless the parents going through this too.
How is Disney fumbling so hard on this kind soul?? He's done this multiple times so he clearly enjoys spending time with his fans and playing this character. It hard to fathom how many loose screws are in those Corperate's heads. Stop making shit sequels, stop trying to replace characters to force gender/minority inclusivity and start making good flipping stories with characters that already work. Make something new with a strong script if you want to push those agendas. Something that people can connect with. Call me a racists, misogynist, or whatever the f you want because 20 years ago, all these problems were never an issue to Disney.
Johnny Depp had a great time! Once I visited a Children's Hospital as a Santa with gifts, and honestly, I'm still not sure - who had more fun: Me or the children?
my sister who was healthy as a horse hit her head just the right way and she has had epilepsy since at 17 she's lived w/it she's 65 and it has taken a toll its crazy the problems people have this is great Makena's story has a happy ending oh I'm so happy for you guys !!!!! I remember this. I remember catching a certain look in his eyes. I hope my assessment is accurate. I like watching him interact with them. Says a little something about him. I'm told I'm great with kids....not sure that's exactly accurate. Maybe it's more the parents that's I've encountered.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. My dad is a heart cancer survivor. His chances of living were slim, but here he is today; healthy and active. Ellie’s got this. I’m praying for you.
And this is the man Disney scrwed over. That shows the kinds of people running the company today. Woke ideology that have nothing but hate for the world and hide their evil behind terms of "Equity" and "Inclusion" so long as you bend the knee to them.
Given that CF is genetic it therefore becomes preventable if genetic testing works well enough to reveal the odds of having a CF child. One would think we would have the ethical fortitude not to bring these children into the world and instead go alternate routes such as adoption. I understand the drive to have your own biological child and that many of these kids are quite strong but CF is brutal and always leads to premature death or the demand for others to die so as to supply lungs for transplantation. Natural selection is designed to eliminate these defects over time by preventing the reproduction of the genes that cause it but we have found ways to alter nature which aren't always wise choices.

The comments appealing to a god are disgraceful. How anyone in the 21st century can still be so weak as to think a god is at work in this and is worthy of being praised for the death of a child is shameful. The comments offering prayers and claims of god blessing this family are deranged. Being human is really hard and childhood cancer deaths is one of the main reasons.
Seeing such a positive recovery is wonderful but can we finally expunge the word and concept of "miracle" from our language and our culture? There is nothing miraculous about any of this. Invoking miracle is an outdated and embarrassing appeal to gods and an excuse not to learn from our ignorance.
All the delusional comments praising a god are really insulting. Why can't we finally start to learn to think rationally, logically and reasonably about the realities of living? To still think there is a god at play in this boy's life before, during or after these medical nightmares is really embarrassing.

i had a friend named daniel who was born with defects like three fingers on each hand (thumb +2) and he had these extender frames. this is not new, it was 1992 or earlier.. they would break his limbs and put in the frames with bone pins to extend his arms
