Definitely gave Norm the crap mic this go around.
Introducing the authentic ‘Doc Savage’ - none other than Adam Savage! In his self-made Fortress of Solitude, he’s not just playing superhero. With duct tape, a Swiss Army knife, and an endless well of curiosity, he’s crafting a world of discovery.
As one of the first-run supporters, I can say, without a doubt, that this is an Amazing build and I loved reading through the thread as the designs and manufacturing process were developed.
I want
omg, LPL mentioned :D this tickled my nerd funny bone
When they changed I (contractor) just started buying 2mm metal "lead" holders off of amazon. Ended up loving them, even a bit more than my old standby of the papermate. I was highly disappointed when I bought the first pack of the new style.
How did you get that’s 😱😱
I thought there was a person in the clone armour and now i feel stupid 😭
I’m motivated by more vacation time
stuff
Norm Chan is a freaking national treasure. "Watch your fingers!" and the saber twirl were classic!
Chicago mentioned reeeeeeeeee
Just got home from my jobsite and this is making me excited again 😊
The DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDMerit BBBBBUNDLE!
Use wax paper as a work surface. CA doesn't stick to it.
holy cow you made drilling the new hole in the dial complicated . . . . Even though I appreciated the thoroughness of the diagnosis you didn't need to do any of the calculations or measuring to drill the new hole in the dial. 1) put the dial on a short shaft (one that barely goes all the way thru) and clamp the shaft in the drill press. 2) line up the original hole with the drill bit so that it will slide straight thru. 3) rotate the dial 180 and drill new hole.
I collect sixth scale SW figures. I have no interest in collecting sabres.
Frustration knows no bounds 😂
this but with black 3.0 paint
It’s heartbreaking when a perfect product gets changed. I felt this deeply! I’m the kind of person that when I find that perfect one, I’m done. Then they change it on me! This has happened with my favorite shoes and jeans, and handfuls of other products I’m sure I’m forgetting right now. Thank goodness they at least brought back Rainbow Chip Frosting.
I love how nerdy this is.
Every scratch builder/kitbasher needs a greebly box
The weathering is ok but i don't like the paint that much. Everything looks plastic.Even the old chrome parts have ZERO metal feel to them. I can't believe people spend a small fortune on these things and they're not even worth half the money asked for.
Young foxes stay alive because they are fast. Old foxes stay alive because they are wise.
Brilliant video both , great prop .
Disney garbage.
"Silenced rounds are not a benefit to humanity" ...done
These are my fav Episodes with Norm and Adam geeking out over something awesome. well done to the build team on the sabre , looks and sounds awesome
Adam is planning a heist and he's building a very Oceans-Like miniature to explain the plan to his crew...
As someone that writes with a lot of pressure I can't use these. They just flex too much. Therefore I am a Bic guy
One of my cats was just trying to claim the darksaber by way of combat (he was poking the screen when you were waving it about 😂)
We hosted some exchange students from Japan a while back, and one of the things they gifted us when it was time to say goodbye was a small staple-less stapler... yes, that's right, no need to buy staples ever again! It simply punched a small hole in the pages, and then folded it back in such a way that created a secure bond between a few pages, without the need for a metallic staple. It was small enough, that it's not useful for much more than securing a few pages at a time, and certainly couldn't do booklets, but it's kinda rad that it doesn't require boxes and boxes of staples to service it... :D
This is one the best things I've seen you do! Thanks.
Yeeees I love Saber crafting. I have made only three. But GHV3 is a great soundboard.
That looks like a giveway at the Dollar store closeout sale? There are better packs for the half the price without the artist markup...IMO.
I wonder if you modded it to have an extension maybe 6-8" past the end of the blade, with an attachment point. Where you could hook on some minor weights to help cut faster? Not a lot of weight, but maybe a few ounces? Or a few pounds, hell, idk, just spit balling here :)
I spent 6 years in the army as an Apache mechanic and nearly 20 years as a civilian working on Apaches and Blackhawks, I never used the safety wire pliers.
cookies and cream candy bars. 😢
Love the video! Keep up the great work
He's a legend, a star, a genius, and he is very missed.
Totally amazing prop. The attention to detail and engineering of that piece is incredible.
Fantastic video! Happy to see the Form 4 in action!
how the hell does it animate the blade? that's so much fiber
imagine someone breaking into adams home and he has the sabre in his hand. lol they would piss themselves then run away lol.
Sick AF. The maker/designers didn't squander any opportunity here... they delivered.
So awesome seeing your reaction guys to the work that we put our effort and thought in! That was quite a challenge designing those custom blade connector and switches pcbs and the main 3D-printed chassis base, but the result is absolutely stunning! 😇
Needs nerding out with nerd things. Fun!
A glimpse of 10-year-old Adam and Norm is proof that we never really grow up; our toys just get more expensive.
