The Hendricks comparison is valid. Polyphia, whether you hate them or love them (I love them), has created a genre of music that did not exist previously. The level of musicianship, along with the incorporation of many different styles of music, has really set them apart from other bands. We are witnessing the rebirth of guitar-centered music but with melodies that are catchy and interesting. The fact that an instrumental band is having this much success is proof. Guitar gods like Satriani and Vai opened the door, but Polyphia is kicking it down. Nice review.

Yes yes yes!!! For me personally it’s already changed the way I think about the instrument and possibilities I didn’t think off until listening to them!!!

LOL ! There is "Reverie" ! I think that one gives the bassist Clay Gober quite a moment.

Ego death is just a masterpiece as well. Frankly, I've yet to find a Polyphia song I'm not only obsessed with, but also makes me want to quit playing music all together!

thank you! Your educated observations make the videos more enjoyable. I love the Polyphia reactions and would really enjoy seeing you react to some of the other guitar greats like Jeff Beck vs Tim Henson and talk about the new techniques being used.

Epic video man. I really enjoy how u appreciate music, it's very delightful watching your videos, so keep it up. And I agree, I don't know what to do after listening a lot of Polyphia, it's like u wanna be part of that band it's crazy.

Hey man, just discovered your chanel yesterday and i have a suggestion. Since u did already wage war and spiritbox, i think u should check out Architects, a band that influenced problaby both of these bands. I think a good starting point would be “Gone with the wind” or “Doomsday”, the first one being the song their guitarrist wrote when he knew the cancer would take kim, and the second one is the first song they dropped after he passed.

This was suto be the 1st single from the album but it got leaked before the official release. So they decided to release Playing God 1st, 80 trillion people watched it on youtbute and Polyphia blew up. Sometimes things just fall into place.

Polyphia slaps you in the musical feels every time….so good! I have two suggestions: 1). Babymetal - Brand New Day (ft Tim Hansen & Scott LePage for guitar parts) 2). Cover of Playing God done on traditional Chinese Guzhen: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoaj1aaxgazQlps.htmlsi=c6xs5wciv511k7zQ Enjoy! 🤘

Haha hell yes! kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYSb08RygpaYlso.htmlsi=w_4sRwLIWeYE4UNk Tim & Scott contributed their guitar parts to this song for studio version. The Kami Band nails it live.
