If the 16" Trapper has a 6 round mag tube and the 18" carbine has a 7 round mag tube, it only makes sense to offer a longer mag tube on the 22" rifle. The rifle should be set up to hold probably 9 rounds.

I’ve got an 89, trapper, black nitrite finish. Excellent gun. Fit and finish are outstanding. Accuracy, well at sixty one, lets just say it shoots better than I can with iron sights. What I’m really impressed with is the excellent customer service that Big Horn Armory has. I had a question about reloading and using Matt’s Bullets 700 gr flat nose bullet. I emailed my question and within 12 hours had a response from the president of the company. Outstanding. Great people and a great gun.

Update on your experience

I gad the pleasure recently to shoot a very nice copy of the model 89 in 500 mag also being the standard 20" barrel length. Personally, I love to own the 24" model in 500 mag.

.475 linebaug is as potent as 45-70 in a slightly more compact shell. It's based on the 45-70 cartridge and for all purposes is a 45-70 equivalent cartridge.... minus a big loop

Has there been any consideration for a mare's leg version? I know its not as common in the US but in Canada its the closest we get to walking around with pistol

Wish these things weren’t so expensive. I’ve bought two marlins instead of one BHA because of the price. $3100 goes a long way, and I’ve got a JM stamped 1895XLR and a new Ruger 1895SBL for about that much. I really want the 454casull model 90A but, again, $3100 goes a long way with other options.

I was listening to the audio while I did something else, I had just watched a review of this gun prior to watching this, and I swear I thought for a minute that the independent reviewer and the armory spokesperson were the same person. I guess people from around this part of the world all talk in this cadence ;)

I'd love to own one in 454 Casull one day. Lived in Wyoming for 6 years and been to Cody a handful of times, wish I had known you were there.

They already have lots of 44mag rifles out there. The point is to be unique and offers what isn't I think

Think get my order in color case harden finish and octagonal barrle and fancy walnut

Why not use a longer mag tube on the 22 inch barrel rifle version instead of the same length mag tube as the carbine? If the trapper has a 6 round mag tube and the carbine has a 7 round mag tube, it just makes sense to use a longer mag tube with the rifle version for 1 or 2 more rounds than the carbine.

Do you offer a polished stainless receiver

Could you have the 22 inch gun have a full length mag tube

The revolver S&W makes the 460 XVR can, it can safely shoot 460mag 454 casull,45 Long, and 45 Schofield these rifles Should be able to handle them since they are weaker, but with the the different lengths feeding might be a problem

It works with the .22 long rifle, long, and short lever guns. It’d be pretty cool if it functioned the same way.

Each rifle is hand fitted, and they cut no corners in quality and finish. Alot like high end 1911s that are priced around the same amount and higher.

They're made to a high standard. When you can't sell a million of them the way Remington sells 721's, your best option is to charge a higher price for a more niche gun. I'm looking into getting a .460 or .500 S&W. That's a very potent cartridge. Not as refined as a .308, but it's very effective.
