Cheers; come rain and wind and nothing can stop you from enjoying a day out in the wild majestic landscape. The waterfall reminded me of a fantasy movie and I can easily imagine it being used as a setting in GOT - The return of winter:) As always you cheer up my day with lovely adventure in the "wild"; so now I can start the mundane office work with a smile on my face and a longing for the open landscapes in the west! Better than the dark winter here;)

More wonderful waterfalls. I don't really know this area so it's new to me. It looked like one of the toughest climbs yet with the scree and risky pathways along the river walk. A very interesting area very well filmed, it must have been difficult in those conditions. Loved seeing the return of the colourful hat. Very daring, well done, can't wait to see the next one xx

Epic is the word for this walk. Maybe not the dramatic rocky summits of some peaks but certainly a test of stamina and the reward of some stunning views. Thanks for taking us with you.

Great to see Kat back and great to be back at Aber Falls, a place I have seen numerous times but never visited before. Love the sound of a free car park and nice to see an unvandalized display in that small building. The falls were amazing, especially the closer and closer you get, what an stunning sight it is. The scree assent was no the best, nor was the boulders and wet rocks either but great to see flapjacks making another appearance and yes, I was eating my heart out lol. they sounded amazing! I did make it to the top by I had a chocolate Santa Clause instead of a cup of tea! Great views and amazing moody skies which I always love and when you hot the highest point of the day, it's always nice to be welcomed by a nice trip point or kern, almost as good as a good stone shelter in high winds. Good to see you got down safely and not ended up in Rome and a real good 12.4 mile walk - I do not know what metres are lol! Cheers Alan

Lol thanks Alan, what a fab comment! Yes Aber Falls often features on YT, and the village and displays were awesome. There was another in the main village, but I had to cut from the final video for duration reasons. Maybe I can do a little shorter video mmmm 🤔 Really glad you enjoyed the video and a chocolate Santa 🎅 🍫 sounds great, Kat has been decorating today! Wonderful hike guys, very impressive and it certainly looked very tiring. The waterfall at the beginning looked very lovely, as was the stream on your way up. Views were spectacular. Spectacular, had to watch it twice just to take it all in. Great waterfall and loved the ancient causeway. Some tricky ledges here and there, well done getting past them. I see it was so windy the dead at tried to get in on the vid. Pretty gruelling but really worthwhile, some great wilderness and terrific views as the clouds lifted. This is definitely on the favourites list😃👍

How do folks. It had a bit of a Scottish Highlands feel in places that route, quite dramatic and wild. Aber was a traditional birding spot for us once upon a time. Target species were pied flycatcher, redstart and wood warbler in the lower valley and choughs around the top car-park below Foel Dduarth. I have some familiarity with the Carneddau too, enjoying one of my best Snowdonia days, doing a linear route from Bethesda to the youth hostel at Rowen. A good while back that now, early 1990s I think 😬. Thanks for the memories 🙂. Cheers, Chris

Wow. That looked like a difficult walk guys. Steep & slippy. The base of the falls can't be that much above sea level being so close to the coast so no wonder you had such a steep climb. The first time we went to Snowdonia was in 1989 & we visited these falls but literally just walked up to the base & back. Thanks for taking us a lovely journey to the top of these magnificent falls & beyond to the nearby mountains. Some amazing views from a seldom visited area. I would imagine on a very clear day that you would be able to see The Isle Of Man as well as the Lake District. You both did look quite tired out at the end. Fantastic walk guys. Take care. 🙂🙂👍👍

Alomst definitely would put 50p on seeing the Lakes and more, Anglesey on our places to visit and explore list too! Sure is a beautiful start to the day! Looming clouds in the distance....hmmm. You're making me miss the colour green! Magnificent falls for sure! And by accident some friends where at the top with pizza, I got the same feeling 😂 Seriously, kudos to you both. Good Morning Ceri and Kat, hope you are both well 😊 Really enjoyable video and well captured as always 👍The Carneddau range looks so quiet compared to some of the others in snowdonia. Following the waterfall up must have been a treat and share some similarities to the Watkin Path. 🙂 The scenery was very beautiful, layers of mountains with a dramatic drop to the nearby sea. 🌊 Thanks for sharing your adventure. 👍🙂☕🥾

Great to have you back, Kat (not the Ceri didn't do a good job last episode!). That was a neat little diorama at the beginning, in a cool little shack. The Aber Falls were beautiful. I'm with you, Ceri, I love my sealskinz socks! The views from the top were amazing. The sky was incredible, along with the vistas over the landscape, with the sea in the distance. Really wonderful hike!

I like those houses at the beginning...full of character! I built a reporting database at work years back I called "ABER"...this Aber falls much more amazing 😄 That's an incredible waterfall...beautiful! The hillsides and openness are very invited just asking to be hiked! Have a wonderful weekend

Lol love the start im a nerd,love the little village near the free car park.Love the artwork,in the little hut,with the 3d map,such a lovely display ,simply lovely.stunning waterfall,37 metres wow,i would so love to sit on the rocks there and soak it all up,sublime.And the weather is my fav,love the photo montarge.ditto on autumn my fav season=less people.i love puffins ever since read enid blyton books with huffin@puffin in,i hope to go to lundy island next april to see the puffins hopefully.This weather is just what i love,well done you 2,love the fact like me ,you just get on with it ,and never let the weather put you off.Dont know why but when people get there kit off into plunge pools,they get loads of hits,my daughter goes dive in mummy,think of youtube,and i turn and tell her to get stuffed! lol.Waves at portmeirion,i think this weather is perfect for this type of walk,hubby argues sunlight going,but for me this is ace"gets my glad to be a nerd tshirt".When you was doing the truce,thought was going to do spock hands then!.Let someone know were you are? er deb here"were are you" im lost? lol.but for normal people very good advice.You both know were your going,its something i am working on lol.Loved the ponies,this and boyz have cheered me up so much today,hopefully by friday i be better.Big hug@stay safe debs xxx

The return of Kats hat!!!! That signs Winter to me. I've never had the satisfaction of visiting Aber falls, I simply need to get there after watching this one. Awesome bronze age round house, or what's left of it. You were so lucky to get there when there was pretty much no one else there. Loved the mushroom to waterfall shot at 5:19. How were you at the 7:25 mark on that precarious ledge Ceri (The Tea In Valhalla track). How many emergency sarnies did you take today Ceri? and did you make it past the first hour before you tucked in to your lunch? haha. How great would that plunge pool be to have a swim in at 12:29!!! Tough going walk with no real footpath, great effort all around. Don't you just love it when you get to the top of a climb only to see you have to go back down the other side to climb up another haha. Haha pair of nerds!!! I see Kat still walks 100mph, after you helped her up she was storming on... marching with a purpose or trying to get away from Ceri? haha Fantastic video guys!! Tea In Valhalla back doing what they do best.

Evening Ceri and Kat 🙂 What a treat this was!! 😁 How awesome is the mighty Aber Falls and you both took us on a journey from bottom to top. Impressive waterfall and then greeted by beautiful views of the coast. This walk had it all, mountains, beautiful autumnal landscapes, waterfalls and then views out to the sea!! 😍 proper adventure. That was awesome guys. The views were stunning and you can see so far. The flapjacks looked great too. Yes that wind was insane. Definitely so worth the climb. Yes so true on no bad weather but inappropriate clothing 😂. Glad you made it down safely.

Oh no I had like 2 paragraphs of a comment typed out and KZread ate my comment. Whaaahhhh! That trail along the waterfall all the way up was so incredibly scenic at every turn. I loved Ceri when you said Alan's name with your British accent because when I say it out loud with my southern draw it sounds totally different. I see a summer trek back out here so you both can try out that plunge pool with the waterfall. You guys were really working hard climbing on this one. So happy you had a view up from the top and there was a bit of blue sky popping through. Your rosy cheeks Kat really speak to how chilly it was up there. And the sun even peaked out for you. What a trek guys! Thank you for making such a great video and taking us along to show us all this beauty. ~RVA~

@@TeaInValhalla Yes this time of the year the daylight hours are short and it's hard to get the same number of miles in. I have had challenges with that myself right now. The temps really take a plunge when the sun goes down as well. ~RVA~

OH boy! FREE CAR PARK!!!! Cool display hut to start with, and a lovely 3d map to show the way. Those falls are indeed amazing. Definitely some liquid in the air, and not all from the falls from the looks of it. Lovely shots and snaps of that. We were just thinking how you guys seem to be in Wales all the time, but we hardly see many sheep. you definitely fixed it with this one. Great job getting over the scree. Those wet rocks looked a bit sketchy, glad you got over those ok too. Any puffins on puffin island? Are your socks really made out of seal skins, or is that just a brand? Must be a brand, can't imagine you guys wearing baby seals on your feet. 😂 That was a lovely river you got to walk along, and the way up after that looked pretty steep. That was almost New England worthy. We are big fans of the "Tactical Breather" Guess that's one advantage of us having all the trees we have, a lot less exposure to all the wind on a climb... at least until we get to the top and out of them. You guys definitely get more time with sweet views though. Kat called you a nerd like that's a bad thing Ceri... 🤔 Great advice on letting people know where you've got off to. Do you guys see much use of PLBs over there? Loved the stones challenge. We have something similar to that here, but you don't have to go back to the start, you just end up with uncomfortably wet and cold feet. Cute ponies! We can completely relate on the walk being more tiring than you would think. those slippery bits take a ton out of you. Can't get into a good stride rhythm, steps forced to be irregular, and having to hop all over the place makes for 2-3 times the work. 4000 feet over 12 miles is also no joke. We did that in 9 earlier this year and that was a bit of a sufferfest by the end of it. We'll give you an ovation for this one, well done indeed! Great job guys!👏👏👏 Sorry about the long rambly comment, but you did drop a 27 minute video, and I refuse to leave comments like "Cool nature, thanks for sharing!" if we're going to spend a half hour with you. A half hour well spent by the way, always a pleasure getting to enjoy some trails with you guys!

Good evening you truly wondeful bunch, free, the absolute best price! 👌 There was another display in the village too, about the history of the Llywelyn the Last and his wife, saldy I had to cut that o find cutting bits so hard, hence the length of alot of out videos. I hope we can return or incorporate into another 📹 ❤👍 There are indeed Puffins on Puffin Island, I think you can take a boat over and around the island, depending on weather 😀 Yes Sealskinz are indeed a brand of waterproof hiking gear, socks, hats and gloves, our favourite and most trusted over the years. Baby seals for feet would be some thumbnail mind 🦭 ❤ We had to goggle PLBs, think emergency services might use them, we can and do want to buy a mini GPS device. Never need to apologise for your comments, it's part of what we love about you guys, and the sharing and emersion into the videos. @@TeaInValhalla Had a feeling that with the UK being so open and developed, you probably have good enough cell coverage if things go south, and you're not up in the Scottish highlands or someplace remote, that PLBs aren't really necessary. I'll have to see if seakskinz is something we can get near us. There is a certain member of our party that is exceptionally good at getting his, hands, feet, and gear drenched if there is any amount of water on trail.
