A North Wales Adventure. Hiking and Scrambling in the Carneddau Mountains. Camping by a Stream.

In this video, I am joined by Jason Eke from Trailguide pictures as we head up into the mountains of the Carneddau range in North Wales. We spend the day hiking and scrambling up four peaks, three of them 3000ft Munros and exploring this beautiful range before descending back down and making camp beside a beautiful stream in the valley below.
A well earned hearty dinner and a couple of beers and very soon our weary bodies cannot resist a good nights sleep before the long drive back to Norfolk (in a broken Land Rover…)
I hope you enjoy the video and please head over to Jason’s channel and give him a sub - his video will be up in due course.
Thanks for watching.

This is my back yard now, I retired to the Park 2 years ago from South Wales, I feel claustrophobic in a city now and despite an illness which nearly killed me last year and has left me slightly disabled, I’m staying, all my rehabilitation is here in the mountains. Great vid as always Simon, great to see you here on the other side of the country.

Such a great time and a great video mate. Sorry it took me a day to check it out, I'm just finding time as I'm waiting on my flight out of France and heading back to Canada. Hanging out with you and seeing this part of the UK, the hike, the camp... all of it was a highlight of the year for me. Thanks again and whenever you want to jump across the pond to Canada or Mexico just let me know and we can continue the adventure.

Simon, thank you for showing the mountains of Wales. My family were farmers who came to the US from Wales. Seeing Wales, the soft, beautiful, grassy hills, tugs on heartstrings I wasn’t aware I had. I don’t deserve any profound tie to that land or people other than the swell of emotions that hit me, thinking that my kin may have started there. Some the dirt of those hills may be mixed with the dirt that makes me. The need I have to farm, to be a steward of the land, may have some start, some DNA, in that land. Thanks for letting me see some of Wales. Jeff Albritton

Simon as a former resident of Snowdonia, you brought back memories. The mountain Pen Llithig y Wrach is the first slope from which I jumped with a paraglider attached! also the back of Carnedd Dafydd is where a few mates and I lugged a snowboard and old skis to play 20 years ago. Just above the Mountain Rescue HQ! I don't glide anymore, but I do ski here in the Alps where I now live, also mountain bike.
