Wow what a place

Wow, what a fascinating exploration of Dinorwic Quarry! The sheer size and history of this abandoned Slate Quarry are truly awe-inspiring. Hay and Kyle did a fantastic job showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of this hiking location in Snowdonia/Eryri National Park. The breathtaking views of the mountains, the glimpse of the abandoned Anglesey Barracks, and the search for the hidden waterfall all added an element of adventure to the video. It's great to have the opportunity to experience the hike vicariously through their exploration. Thank you for taking us on this virtual journey and introducing us to these must-see spots in the mountain ghost town of Dinorwic Quarry.

Absolutely stunning video, those epic views, loved what you found at the end of the tunnel, my heart was in my mouth though in case you slipped on that path, can't believe the scale of everything, no wonder you & Hayley loved it so much and looks like Pupper was enjoying himself too, looking forward to seeing your next adventure, love and hugs and a fuss for Pupper 🥰♥️♥️♥️💕xxx

Love the video brilliant photo shot of the barracks. Love how all the trees are twisted. Very interesting . The only thing was I was scared if you slipped Kyle on all that slate. Wow, what a great video Kyle and Hayley, must say enjoyed hearing the Slate stone pieces crackling under your feet, very relaxing. Dinorwic Quarry North Wales is sure a huge place and it seemed like you were there by yourselves. Glad you finished off with the secret Waterfall at the end, great way to end the video. The drone footage, different angels and the music were all fantastic.

I dove past it once after a shower and the sun was shining making it look a rich deep purple colour, a memory that will stay with me. We'll definitely be taking a wander around the quarry on our next trip to the area. Great video as always guys, thanks.

Can imagine how nice it looks after rain 😍 we were due rain that day with the storms coming in but they never arrived! Perhaps next time will catch a glimpse of the deep purple colour 🤞

Just about to watch. Did you know, that in that very area, there is a hydroelectric power plant that goes five miles inside the mountain? (In fact, you were walking directly above it). They used to do bus tours inside, and it feels like you’re inside one those rumoured-to-exist deep underground military bases. It’s pretty remarkable feat of engineering.

Dinorwic is an amazing place! Been too long since my last visit! Time to get my arse back there soon! There is a tunnel entrance in the 'Dali's Hole' area that makes for a great overnight bivi spot! Bit of a nightmare ferrying firewood up there, so best keep the fire small!

And also in and around there the film 'Willow ' Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley. They crew built a mock up castle , where the wicked queen lived, played by British actress Jean Marsh. Many of the extras cast were locals. Enjoy happy trails 👣😊

My grandad was a quarry man there, picture of him on a bosun's chair in what looks like a suit, on the vertical face of the quarry (where he and the others were apparently setting charges to blow up the face) my mum and auntie played there as kids (against the rules at the time) during the time it was still in operation around the 1940's + 50's they lived in Deiniolen .

1st went in 1975 thanks you guys nostalgic for me

Get to Clogwyn dur Arddu the most impressive cliff in Snowdoniajust below the summit you see it from the train just past halfway house a. Ot atmospheric place with a lovely lake just below

I have had a quiet weekend as Dexter hasnt been well again 😢 he does seem better now so hopefully he won't have to do his nearly weekly visit to vet

That "secret pla e is TWLL MAWR Quarry the venue for one of the most extraordinary rock-climbing.. johnny dawes's the Quarryman there are many vid o nhere of people doing it a d its history by the..before his time Mr Dawes

Hi thanks for watching, we're both glad you enjoyed the video. For our filming at Dinorwic we didn't follow a route unfortunately! We were a bit all over the place in an attempt to showcase it's best bits 😊👍

Always wanted to go there but it’s simply not possible, not with my legs anyway

The cave is not a cave, it's a tunnel connecting the working area of the quarry with the inclines.

@@HayandKyle no worries, I've just reread my comment and it was a bit curt, sorry about that. If you ever go back, on an upper level called Austraila there is a mill with lots of saw tables in and engine shed and other buildings on near by levels. It's a great place to explore. God bless

Ha no way I was there last Sunday. I went where you was aswell though the caves it’s good isn’t it . There was like a marathon on loads of runners 🏃🏻 running around it ?

@@HayandKyle haha yer did yous see them . They was loads of little groups of rock climbers 🧗‍♀️ its like a big adventure park for adults that quarry . I loved the cave bit tho at the end of the video
