Hi Robb!1st ur awesome because u go to these places & bring it to our homes.2nd at 2:19 i don't remember if its cerebral palsy or something different but this chair thing reminds of the special wheelchairs for those who can't hold there heads up.its so sad but interesting to see how in the past people were treated so badly.today the things they would throw away people for they now have cures or ways to help them live a happy productive life.I do miss Kristy,I do understand she has some other stuff to do.I would love to see Kona(?) do an explore with u in these places.that tub at 18:33 probably creeps u out because in these places they used some tubs for hydrotherapy, they would stick people in the tubs to calm them down & it worked quickly.thanks for another amazing video & I can't wait till the next :-)

They were used for bathing paralyzed people, so they didn't have to put them in the deep tubs or lift them out.

Now they have shower stretchers. My son was quadriplegic and lived in a long term medical facility until he passed in 2017. They would lift him on to the stretcher with his Hoyer lift and then roll him down to the shower room. They hold just enough water to have a shallow bath. The end of the it rolls over a sink so it can drain.

I would love to see it in another 5 or 10 years to see how nature has continued to consume this building. That vine growing down from the ceiling will take off I'm sure. I started typing this comment when you showed that vine but then you spent a few minutes saying my exact thoughts about the satisfaction of nature taking back this manmade creation!

I think those are "shower baths" - there would normally be a kind of waterproof padding inside of them. The patient would be hoisted from their wheelchair onto them.

Where old Christmas crap goes to die. I’d love to see that wheel chair grown up in a big tree in about 10 years. You know that music makes my heart race like I’m watching a very good thriller. Awww, miss Ms Kristy on these old haunts with you. You think maybe staff lived up in that top floor? Looks like it would have been nice. Thanks Mucho, Still obsessed...pr

I'm sure a lot of viewers agree with me that the drone footage adds a great deal to these videos. You feel like a bird, soaring around an old place, becoming interested, so you land and go inside. I remember one of the first asylum videos I ever watched was explored by drone only. possible the first such I'd ever seen. The place was HUGE: a great many two, three, and even four-story red brick buildings, surrounded by a high chain-link fence---inside a fairly large city and watched by police and I _think_ CCTV cameras, hence the flying exploration. You're in top form, Robb, but I agree with others: you should take precautions. There's a lot of dangerous stuff out there (I don't remember ever seeing black mold when I was a kid doing explorations whenever I could find a place with access---60 years or more ago.

The green "survival" barrel was placed there by the Federal Civil Defense office. It held water and only water. when empty it was converted into a human waste barrel. Food placed in the shelters consisted of either a cracker or carbohydrate candy. Both stored in square metal tins. Somewhere on the property (in the basement) is a room that was designated as a fallout shelter during the cold war. That would be where all the Civil Defense items would have been kept.

I feel bad when I see places like this. So much could b done. Depending on structural integrity the could b repurposed for the homeless to help them get back on their feet. And, if they become productive members of society, they pay a small amount for rent. And whoever lives there must help with the daily operations of the place, like cleaning ,cooking etc. Just thinking out loud. 🧐
