A tour of Guernsey in the Channel Islands (Part 1)

The first of three vlogs about Guernsey, in the Channel Islands, where Helen comes from. Guernsey is a tiny island in the English Channel, just off the coast of north west France. Even though this was filmed in the depths of winter, you can still see what a pretty and unique place Guernsey is.

How wonderful to watch. I fell in love with a Guernsey man in1971, and moved to the island to be with him. I found work at Maison Le Noury in St. Peter Port, and treasured my time working there. Unfortunately, the romance never lasted, but my love for the island did. xx

Went here in 2003 with my parents to visit some friends. Being from the US, Guernsey was an amazing experience.

Thank you posting this. My entire maternal family came from Guernsey, most coming to the US in the earlier 20+ years of the last century. But growing up I remember all of them, when they spoke of Guernsey which was often, the called it "home".

Down Under Vlog unfortunately not. I am living in pas de calais dprtt 62:France for 13 years now. Though I used to live in Brittany , in St Brieuc , just 60 miles south of Guernsey.

Delightful. And a nice attractive family. Felt like I was making a visit myself... though those narrow winding roads look pretty worrisome, esp if one isn't used to driving on the left. (Well, they're actually so narrow that, I suppose, one doesn't even have the luxury of choosing left or right.)

+tk210west thank you 😊 even though the speed limit is 35mph in Guernsey it's actually a tricky place to drive because the roads are so narrow. Quite often you have to mount the pavement to get past one other!

+Senn RS this video (and most of my others) was filmed on a Canon G7X. I've been meaning to do a review. Overall I'd recommend it, although the Canon G7X mark ii has just been announced. I also use a Canon SL1 (which I have reviewed) occasionally. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help.
