We use a Airopress when touring,I can make up two flasks of coffee in a B&B which will keeps us going for quite a while.

I love this kind of content Roy, really compliments the main content really well IMO. Funnily enough I was thinking recently what people do for proper coffee on a ride. I carry a small flask in a bottle cage. I also have a gas canister, mini stove, small pot and a bean to cup grinder/filter. This option looks great too. Keep it coming.

Thanks. Am in two minds about this kind of review, so appreciate your comment. As you will notice, I put them out simultaneously with a ride video, so people don’t feel disappointed. I receive many requests for reviews every week, and turn most down. When I do take something, I make it clear that I reserve the right to tell it how I find it and even refuse to review if it’s not up to scratch. I thought this seemed like a good idea so decided to share it. There are a couple more in the pipeline for June.

@@RideWithRoy it is the challenge with diversifying content on a KZread channel. I suppose if there was any real kickback from subscribers (although I think there will not be) that you could have a new "More than a Ride with Roy" channel.

Hhhhhmmm... This kind of 'machine' has its place.... Theres a convenience to it using pods..... Plenty of coffee choice. Definitely better in a bag rather than carrier. Essentially it's making an Americano..... So if that's your coffee of choice then a decent option. When I tried something similar a few years ago it struggled to get to anything like 92 degrees... Would be interesting to test with a thermometer. Looks convenient though!

Seems like a good idea when nothing else available. While the water is boiling, it’s not as hot once it has reached the cup, but still hot enough for me.

Good review, but it didn’t look very hot when tasting it, I know you don’t want it boiling hot and you did mention the temperature but was it hot to drink?

Yes, it was as hot as in a coffee shop Heidi.

Since your question, Heidi, I’ve taken note of the temperature. While it comes out hot, it needs drinking straight away, so probably not as hot as in a coffee shop, but still hot enough for me.

A nice review and comments. It certainly will match with some coffee drinkers needs. My general gripe, not about the review, is the increasing use of battery power. We all know batteries age and it's often this that causes the item to be scrapped. I'm sure this product doesn't have a replaceable battery so will end up in land fill unless there is a functioning recycling scheme nearby. With something like this I guess there isn't another solution, other than a battery, but personally I feel all manufacturers need to look beyond that when a battery is finished so is the product. As you may tell I'm fairly passionate about our stupid throw away society and maybe your channel is the wrong place to air my views. For this I apologise.

No apology necessary, Colin, I’m on the same page. Unfortunately, until there is a better solution we either have to abstain or go along with it. It can’t be too much of a stretch to develop replaceable battery versions.
