What's interesting is in some countries it is not considered a norm to even have a dog because there are people who need to be helped, and keeping a dog is not productive to that. I think we should be glad that this kind of person can exist because it requires that we have a relatively stable society to have these people around whose sole job is to brighten people's days. It reminds me of when I learned about the origins of the Greek philosophers (from the podcast "the history of philosophy"), which talked about how in order to even have people in a society whose job is to make people think and ask questions, you need a stable society that isn't war-torn and in chaos. And the Greek philosophers ended up being beneficial, if not in the short run (ex. Socrates was sentenced to death for heresy), then definitely in the long run (we still talk about Socrates).

Spayed or neutered? Speaking of... does Shaggy or whatever he goes by... does he go to the vet or a primary care physician when coming down with the sniffles? And, like with a dog, does he really present as being only sick when his nose is dry? In other words, would a runny nose be a sign of exceptional health for just such a mandog? I had to revisit this video. I saw it a few years ago and it's stuck with me ever since. I really hate that society aka people like Dr. Phil try to shove what's "normal" down people's throats. Look, this guy isn't hurting himself and he manages to sustain his own lifestyle. Just because he is not working for a corporation does not mean he isn't being productive or living his own life to the fullest. He said himself that it helps him get out and interact with people dressing as the dog. He brings some sort of happiness to those owners and their pets, that should be appreciated as productivity just as much as having a 9-5 job. If he isn't hurting anyone and loves the way his life is, why judge him and try to humiliate him? What good does that even do? Stop trying to make people fix into the small box that society has created and let them be themselves, human, dog, alien, or whatever else that may be. I am thrilled that he is choosing a life that is making him happiest and not conforming to society's shitty standards or expectations.
