@@calebk9111 Wait, you think the only reason this is bullying is him telling her she's wrong? As a former mental health professional, Dr. Phil knew that coming out and saying that was harmful to her treatment and recovery; harming a person for the adulation of the crowd most definitely is bullying. But if you just can't accept that, consider Dr. Phil and his producer intentionally used language that led Bailey to believe that her mother would not be on the show and then argued that they never told her that her mother would not be on show. Stephanie was Dr. Phil's Supervising Producer and she knew that Dr. Phil intended to have Bailey's mother on. He said it himself - "it wasn't even a close call." If Dr. Phil didn't know that Bailey didn't want her mother on, he should have brought Stephanie out to fire her in front of the crowd. Both he and Stephanie knew that it was deceptive, mean, and humiliating. Dr. Phil knew bringing Bailey's mother onto the show had an extreme risk of doing more harm than good, and he knew that playing the "we never SAID we wouldn't have her on" would be a cruel word game that was virtually guaranteed to be damaging to her mental health. It was a malicious, wicked and arguably evil thing that both Dr. Phil and Stephanie did.

Jesus Christ this whole video made my blood boil. He just immediately mis-quotes Bailey, shames her and then proceeds to insult her, while using the audience against her AND refusing to allow her to speak. Such a flagrant display of egomania. SO glad to see the comments are overwhelmingly in agreement that Phil's behavior was absolutely NOT okay.

Why do you insist that everything, even the truth, should be comfortable and easy? Dr. Phil was straight and to the point. He did NOT insult this deluded young woman and he didn't use bad language or raise his voice. He used simple and direct language to get across to her that she was under a huge misapprehension. Why do you consider that to be rude? Also, you say that " he thinks he’s so cool bc it’s his show". How could you possibly know what he is thinking other than by what he says? You have no basis at all to say that " he thinks he’s so cool bc it’s his show". Don't you understand that you're making assumptions with no basis in fact Assumptions are NOT facts! Get a damn grip! Life is NOT always comfortable and people are not required to tailor their language to cater to your soft skin or to anyones delusions. As a matter of fact, doing that is unhealthy and does NOT help people who are soft skinned or delusional. It only serves to make you softer and more delusional. Get a damn grip and grow up already!

I told her no & she called me crying because the show told her they’d sue her if she didn’t come because she’d told them she wanted to & would there was a recorded verbal contract. She had to go. My husband told them leave her alone or they’d be sued by him, a lawyer, and it wouldn’t be private or cheap. Never heard from them again. My niece was so afraid of being in court over their threat. That looks like they set this up just so he could go off on that poor girl and make a big thing of “this is my show and no one tells me what to do”. It almost seems as if they deliberately told her about her bio mom right as she was about to come on stage so that she would be upset. Yet, even though she agreed within seconds that it was fine, he STILL had to go on and on about it, bringing out the producer and everything. She was just sitting there politely agreeing with all that was being said but he just wouldn’t shut up. He was provoking her so that he could get some kind of back and forth argument, and even when he didn’t get it he still had to have that air of dominance and make sure he said his piece.
