A Legendary Case From OxyContin Era
In 2004 the DEA's Mobile Enforcement team in connection with the Essex County Sheriff and the Cape Ann Regional Task Force ended a 9 month investigation in a legendary city on Boston's north shore. The result was prison for a ring of young dealers headed by an enterprising business student at UMASS Lowell. It was also the beginning of the end for the Iconic OC 80 era..... #massachusetts #biker #OxyContin #gangster #mafia #boston #crime #fish #history

I remember when opanas came out and I never wanted to touch an oc again, although the 80’s had one of the most memorable tastes in the world lol… far stretch from what everyone’s getting into today… honestly, fentanyl coming around made it easier for me to stay straight. Not even remotely close to what I sadly fell in love with 15+ years ago.. never thought I’d see 35.. stay strong bro, keep crushing

Dude, you’d be eaten alive in a border town like San Diego here is your nightmare. I could tell one day in a story that would drown out this whole suburb of Boston video haha. My issue is as a grown adult if I want to do drugs I should be allowed to. As long as Im not driving high.. But you can smoke cigarettes, smoke weed, drink, eat Mcdonalds, cut off the private part of a kid.. But pain pills how dare you
I didn’t live in Boston during this time but I had some friends who were in business in Quincy around 08-9… I went out when I was there doing whatever it is I was doing… And people hit me up about 80s at a bar! I was blown away! I did it…. But, I was living in Denver and the mtns at the time and people keep to themselves out there… At least they used to. It was rough being on those things and living way up in the hills in a cabin keeping to myself… I got straightened out every time I came to Boston. Been on sub for years. Off of everything like that. Have a thriving business and a beautiful wife and a home. If I have to take 2mg of sub a day to keep that… so be it. Been off for 11 years with a few hiccups. Nothing major. But, best to you. Just stumbled on this. Enjoyed it thoroughly! Wish you all the best! Great content!

I lived in Boston during the OC era. It was wild. The pharmacies had signs on their doors WE DO CARIE OXY CONTIN. In the papers there were stories about dudes jumping the counters with guns. I was getting MUSIC bags from Providence or fingers so I wasn’t sweating it. It’s crazy to think about if they brought back real dope shit would be so much better. Back then a good crew of us in Peab were tight with JG,MR,MW,OK&JH. Had a lot of good times&fortunately majority of us are still here to remember those days. This certainly was 1 of the darker times. We had no idea...simply trying to keep ourselves afloat&feed our raging habits. Peabody was hit really hard&the amount of close friends Ive lost due to these are mind boggling! I somehow was able to get out&am now a single dad going on 9 years of sobriety. But it Wasn't easy man. If i didn't have my daughter,Id no doubt have become a statistic too. Right!!! I’ve been on Subs for about 20 years … I remember when the whole transition from the 80’s to 30’s was happening. I was already deep in the dope then
I still don't get how this could possibly be fun. I have a big bottle of these the doctor prescribed after major surgery, and I was only able to take 1. About 5 minutes later, I was painting the walls, literally-around 5 feet horizontally, without touching the floor. Had to get into the tub. They gave me Dilaudid the next day, which worked fine. At NO time did I get anything that I would describe as a pleasant feeling, just weapons-grade nausea and vomiting. Lortab does the same thing, which is why they tried the oxycontin. Was I supposed to wrap a hose clamp around them first? Didn't say that on the bottle, just take 1 every 8 hours.

All facts.. out here in Malden like half of my middle school class got hooked on OCs then heroin. I was so amazed with weed still so I wanted nothing to do with pills. My group of cousins/friends always used to say “don’t do anything but weed and you’ll be fine!” Even drinking will mess you up real bad. Boy I wish I listened to them in my 20s. Started doing percs and you know how it goes from there. When people say weed is just as bad as any drug I laugh. If people didn’t have to pay for weed, you would see how harmless it is. That’s why I’m growing, my tent actually came in today! Never paying for bud again 😂. But yea it’s the lifestyle of weed smokers that makes it look bad. I’ve seen people who steal and pawn stuff to get weed. Imagine if everyone just learned how to grow and invested in some grow equipment. Every legit grower has pounds to smoke lol. So much bud they start making oil and wax out of it. It’s legal now, and it’s not that hard. It’s a plant, just pay attention to the details and you’ll be fine.

They never stopped making OxyContin ! Only change that happened was America 🇺🇸 was switched from OC80,60,40,30,20,10s To OP80,60,40,20,10s But other countries in Europe / Canada 🇨🇦 etc still get the real OC80s . They still manufacture them . One country they call it OxyDolor but in parentheses it says “OxyContin” and they’re the same color, shape , size , 80s and say OC not OP ! You go on Reddit and every other country shoes their pharmacy pick up and it’s always OC80s and 40s . Crazy . But America 🇺🇸 still has Oxy 30s,20s,15s,10s and those never had any coating you had to worry about lol literally just bust it with a 💳 or coins 🪙 in a bill 💵 and boom 💥👃😵💫 I remember when blues (perc 30s) were $3-5 down here in my area , and they were already $20-30 in Mass,Kentucky,Alabama, NJ, NY etc . We had more pain management clinics in my county/city than McDonald’s & Starbucks COMBINED !!!!! It was insanity !!! 😂
Great video. I was prescribed oxycontin and lived through that era also and lived through the fentanyl era also but before fentanyl was many many years of heroin in between. One of the things that really helped me mentally the most was using iboga TA, I bogaine HCL, and DMT along with some mushrooms. Iboga is like advanced super deep therapy for your mind and body. Powerful medicine. Only strong in mind should partake. Calmness and sense of healing that cannot be described.

Man I watched the whole opioid epidemic unravel as I grew up. I remember the og OC pills oning then going. Then the Miami blues flooding the streets here in MA. It was like rock in the 80s. I was 15 and had a decent cliental all grown adults. Once the ps disappeared the dope hit then fetty. Shits sad man like 50+ i know have died. But hey I Love the videos man! Deff one of the best about MA. 1090 jake is wack now ! 💯💯
as someone who survived this era & is still heavily in that world, OC's are back if you know the right people you can get 100% real mundipharma (subsidiary of pursue) old formula oxy's that come from Europe & its a good thing because compared to fentanyl oxycontin is way safer, I'm personally getting off of them soon but I think its a good thing that 40s & 80s in the old-school formula are coming back at a solid price too because fent is killing so many people i'd rather see them back on oxy instead of fent. I'm personally sitting on a bunch of 40's as we speak with a hose clamp in the desk drawer lol but on the 20th I'm beginning a taper to get off of em for good.

dude you made my Sunday with more Boston region organized crime stories! Born and bred in Middlesex and ESSEX County. My real turf is the Merrimack Valley or called the minga valley. You should do something on the kambodian/ Philippine gangs of Lowell. Or the Dominican gangs of today running drugs from New York making drops all the way up 495/95 to Maine.

Sorry for your loss bro that sucks . I wasn’t into the needle till after but I know tons of kids from up in. The woods in Maine that shot mad 80’s back in the day they couldn’t get H unless they drove to MASS so they booted 80’s
What's really sad is the young men I met back in the day when I moved up North and how their dad's mob stuff really sucked and altered their lives permanantly. These are touchy subjects because they're old enough to be grandpas soon and it wasn't their choice to be born in. I just turned a blind eye to that BS and want to know people from whom they present to me. The Feds actually don't really care about little piddling cases, they have bigger fish to fry. Shoulda been the DEA and ATF handling it besides probably not great attorneys pitting them against each other. This happened after I moved outta the city but I knew a younger girl who had a massive problem and it was messing up her life around 2000, so I'd try to organize walks w' her dogs, painting and introducing her to more upscale establishments before I left. Now things are FUBAR w' this crap. The government isn't helping nullify the shipments of murder drugs and their flesh rotting concoctions and some cities are turning into zombie warzones! It kind of makes the old days fade into the woodwork in comparison.
Your so right,I grew up in Saugus and west Peabody, they looked at every one of us as drug dealers, when in fact I lost money every month?. Got on the subs and moved away, even the dope on the street isn’t real . Good work man.

When I went away in 96 there were endo’s & vics, p10s, and then when I came home in 99-2000 oc’s were everywhere down here in philly, then came the roxy’s then when the prices started going up a lot of people started messing with dope up in kensington & you’d hear this one was found dead in a bando, this one in an alley with trash bags over the body, another one in a Mickey Ds bathroom, it seems to never stop & this is 25 years later

Same with me. I was 20 in early 2009 and was in the hospital dying of a random virus I caught somehow, cytomegalovirus. I spent 4 weeks in the hospital and grew close to the doctors there, never did drugs before. When I was being released they gave me three 90 day prescriptions (120 each) for 10 mg oxycodone HCL’s (Roxy’s). I had depression issues and they cured it, temporarily. Thankfully despite my addiction issues I remained pretty functional through my addiction until I finally quit in June 2019 at 30.
