I hope that's the hedgehog I found by the sheep pen when I was there a few weeks ago. It was after dark when I was stargazing and I went back the next day to find it and it was gone. It's the same size. I'm so happy to see a little creature being saved from the cold. And a shout out to Josie who is the warmest, kindest, and most interesting person I've met in a long time!

Did you appear in any of the vlogs?

Never feed hedgehogs milk as it can cause diarrhoea; instead provide plain, fresh water in a shallow bowl. The moist cat food is best for Herbert, but someone mentioned adding water to thin it down and that may be helpful. He may have been dehydrated, and if he keeps drinking water it may perk him back up. Sweet creatures!

I suggested baby formula. A vet friend said that it should be non-dairy puppy formula or non dairy baby formula if that’s all you can get. Hedgehogs are lactose intolerant.

try making a slurry of his food, warmed and see if he will take some. you can always put some on his tongue towards the back so he'll swallow. can also use small syringe - from an animal feed store or vet or drugstore. the drinking is a good sign. He seems engaged and eyes are bright enough. the sugar from the honey can stimulate appetite. good luck and hang in there Herbert.

I always used to avoid McDonald’s like the plague when I was traveling in Europe, but one time I got stuck on a Sunday in Austria because everything was closed. I grudgingly went in and discovered they had croissants (warm from the oven!) and freshly squeezed orange juice. I ordered and was invited to select a seat and they would bring the meal out when it was ready…it was a fabulous surprise!

This vlog was such fun - I mean they always are but this was extra special.
