Stephanie and the La Landers have been my saving Grace thru Covid lockdowns and while I recoup in hospital after failed spinal op thru have been like visiting family and friends dropping in daily or at least frequently to brighten my day, another 2 weeks and I should be home with home physio after two months in hospital. My KZread Chanel’s have been my life saving entertainment.

So glad to have everyone at the Chateau - especially “Geraldino”, aka Gerald (I have a brother named Jerry, and I call him “Geraldine” sometimes. Amazingly he doesn’t mind 😅). I just love Gerald’s sunny spirit and sense of humor ☺️. The whole vibe at the Chateau is just wonderful.

As if Amaury couldnt get any more gorgeous.... he has the most divine French......

By way of clarification before I delete this comment, I am absolutely not expressing surprise that a half french man speaks French. I was commenting, clearly too obliquely, that Amaury gets more beautiful!!!! Nothing critical, nothing demeaning (unless my referring to him that way is a problem). Merely a woman complimenting a man!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dear Stephanie, I’m so glad you liked the scarecrow and I don’t mind in the least that you rename him Dan. I thought perhaps he should end up in the greenhouse or as a mascot in his green van. I’ve missed his vlog these last couple of days. Tomorrow I am making my Christmas cake and have all the fruit soaking overnight in Brandy. Smells wonderful. I was so touched by this. One of my English relatives made this same pattern and when I saw it (decades ago), she gifted it to me. Sammy is still with me, and I even attempted making some of the other scarecrow family members. She was a lovely generous lady with red poppy wallpaper in her kitchen. This brought up very fond memories.

It's really enjoyable to see how all the characters learn to ebb and flow with each other. Davey's no longer surprised by being teased, Amoury's relaxed into the mess and chaos, Nati remains the eye of the storm and Gerry is comic relief. Everyone praises Michael's bread, Stephanie praises the tree surgeon, and so on. The loving kindness on display is inspiring.

How truly pretty are Annelise and Marie, beautiful inside and out!

Gerry is the best!! He makes me so happy, cause he's always happy. Everyone should be blessed with a Gerry in their lifes ❤

I love the getting ready for pizza night, “the cooking”! It’s always such Laurel and Hardy! Michael’s bread looks glorious. I’m wondering about salted butter. Do you not always have salted butter in you stores? I have a Wire Haired Fox Terrier and the tree man’s new Fox Terrier stole my heart. I’ve had a WFT since 1964. I’m being trained by my 6th. He’s from the Ukraine and completely adorable.

I’ve been waiting for another one of Mr. Potts fabulous looking breads! So glad that Stephanie’s shoulder is better and that Nick the tree guy is on the mend as well and that his injury wasn’t worse! I wish that I could go to Annalise to get my hair done as she ALWAYS seems to get it right with everyone! Amaury is the perfect man to be mentoring Antione in woodworking, he will always remember it! 🥰

I just love watching the daily life at the Chateau. Steph, I can empathize with the shoulder! I have bursitis in my right shoulder following a fall and boy is it painful and it makes using the right arm very tiring where it never was. Look after yourself.

Amaury is wonderful with young people! Antoine certainly is learning alot and it is very important to know things like this if one day he may own a Chateau as well, and maybe even de La Lande or a portion of it, who truly knows? I think it could happen though!? So he needs to know some of how things work too The bread looked so scrumptious, Micheal Potts! Could hear it crunch even now as it is cut! So perfect. I love freshly made bread, but who would not?!

Listening to Armory and Antawn .... one speaking french and they other replays in English is how I grew up. The Chateau is alive with good karma.

How wonderful to see the chateau full of characters. I hope they are all there for christmas. Life would be rather dreary without your vlogs. It's wonderful that you share the camaraderie with us. So many of us need to remember what life, laughter, and energy was like decades ago and your videos bring that back. I am so grateful.

I knew there would be wisteria at the chateau! How could there not be? They are so beautiful! So nice to see Amery teaching Antoine who is a dear. Such a good child, keen to help and to learn. Its also very pleasant hearing Amery speak French so well. After all the chateau is in France.

The Chateau is bursting with excitement !!! 😃 It’s so much fun to see LaLanders coming back home to add more life to the Chateau. 👍 👍 👍 Nick, the Tree Surgeon, is an amazing guy. His skill entails creativity and foresight. Looking forward to the new kook of the forest.

Hey, Steph. I remember when I started following this vlog you describing a time when you were isolated in the château and the ceiling fell in on the corridor outside your bedroom one night. (I hope I'm remembering this right). Perhaps this recent occurrence has sent your mind back to what was a sad and difficult time in your life. Hurting your shoulder maybe a physical expression of that. This time here you are with all your people to support you. That bad period is gone, in the past. A signal for you to move forward with your life. Here you are now, prospering. Be well.

I love when the LaLande family comes together. It just amazes me how much they enjoy each other’s company for extended periods of time although they do have the benefit of editing lol. But certainly, it’s very clear how they’re all respectful and very caring of each other, and that’s not an easy thing to do in a big family.

Hi from Canada and myself, feeling so down today I look outside myself to find happiness and try to forget even for 23 minutes and 53 seconds.. My beautiful son of just 36 years passed last November 19th and as it gets close to the date I think I cant do this, but I can and must. So watching videos that Mike and I brought us laughter helps. Thank you for your infectious laughter, sharing, kindness and happiness. I know we find happiness within but sometimes we do have to look within others. You are so sweet and wonderful, all of you there. Nice Jerry is back he is so funny, and a Hugh congratulations to you and Philip. May you experience may years of unconditional love happiness and laughter. Your perfect for one another Thanks again you just can't imagine in much needed times just how appreciated you are. This was extremely difficult to share but it actually helped, much love always to you all.

I just found out today that Amaury voice is very soothing to the ear. I also miss mummy Isabelle. All of you has distinct voice tone, especially your laughter, Stephanie. Amaury is such a heartthrob ... and a patient teacher, too!

Anton sure is a fortunate boy. And a very sweet one too. Multi lingual and able to learn good skills at a young age.

Now all we need is Mommy and Percy and the whole gang is there for winter/christmas. I was so impressed with Amaury's French being so fluid. First, my brain has to find the French word , then muster with horrible verb tenses, and Voila! My French is atrocious. Antoine is the sweetest!
