I am so disappointed in my Democratic party. They are constantly blasting Biden and not saying a word about the real culprit in this race. My vote goes to Biden no matter what and I ask my fellow voters to vote Blue all the way as well.

The DNC is asking for money on FB and my response was, "Not until the Democratic Party is ALL behind Biden. I want to make sure my money does not go to anyone who does not support and bashes Biden. Yes! Perhaps I needed a bit of a wake up call in my media consumption & I have rather markedly decreased my consuming lately & I am far more judicious in my choices now. I had canceled my NYT subscription on 6/27, but since many in the media have shown their true colors, & I haven't been listening to as many podcasts either. I took some time to mourn & grieve the U.S. & SCOTUS situation but now "it's time to roll my sleeves up & really get down to work!" I already am a political volunteer & bc I live in one of the battleground states, it is absolutely time to get (back) to work. I'm now under no illusions re: the forces that are going to really test this country, & how those forces are trying to divide the Dems by sowing doubt re Biden. This doubt can *seem* to be natural, given Biden's debate performance but I believe it's being artificially blown up, magnified & fed by foreign influences, & of course by MAGA world. But, we too have "influences", spiritual, astro/cosmic forces as Light is stronger than dark, Love is stronger than fear. And in between are those circles of support that require us all to get to work in order to save our country, our democracy & see Justice prevail. Let's GOOOOO! 💪💪

I'm appalled too and I'm American. Basically, there are three small, but very outspoken groups that are behind Trump. One is the very greedy, wealthy group, another is the White supremacists, and the third are what I call, the New Age Puritans, who are basically, very judgmental and controlling Christians. Fortunately, we do have a silent majority of reasonable people. These are the people who voted for Joe Biden last time. I believe that once the Democrats get over their hand wringing after the last debate, and realign themselves behind Joe Biden, we will be ok. Of course, I'm speaking with cautious optimism. But I do think that most people here are put off by Trump's blatant lies and threats.

My grandmother was one of the first women able to vote. She never volunteered or even sent money, she educated herself on each candidate. She never missed an election. Most needed and appreciated. I have studied WWII since I was 10 yrs old, and I am now 71. The little paperback was called, " I SHALL NOT FORGIVE" written by a man who was a child in Auswich. I have never looked at the world the same since. The horror is watching each piece, one by one, fall into place as Germany 1930s. God, I hoped this can be stopped. This is EXACTLY how Hitler got into power.

Retired journalist here, with 45 years in the field, and I'm appalled by 99% of those calling themselves "journalists", especially in the US. Sadly, I have to agree with your view and commentary. I'm also apalled by the disloyalty and vicious attacks toward President Biden, who's surrendered his right to retire and spend his final years relaxing with family, to answer the call to help Americans and American allies around the world. Thanks Maryann. All my life I've been an optimist.I'm 70, I've voted every time except when I was birthing my son. We will vote, especially women who want to get back and stop the madness of our reproductive rights being taken away from us. Kamala is helping by getting the word out to our younger women. Thank you Maryann for your words of hope and support. As an American, I've lost faith in the Supreme Court and the mainstream news media. The media's singular focus on Biden's age and lack of commentary on Trump and his criminality or what it means to our country if Trump gains power, is unfathomable to me. These so called journalists have the gall to say that Biden is not up to the job while they totally abdicate their duty to responsible journalism. I've got a brain in my head. I lived worked and raised a family in northern US. In retirement I’ve been in Florida almost 5 years. This is Trump land. It is downright dangerous to express any idea of political freedom of thought here. This is also the saddest example of failed public education I’ve witnessed, ever. But this is ok, because the under educated are much easier to manipulate and control. This whole situation with a convicted felon running for President, and a “supreme” court panting behind the candidate is so discouraging… how did this happen??

@@djpfisterdrews2812 I must say, no one has ever bothered me. And my street is full of Trump signs, even when he wasn’t running. I do keep the sign close to my front door, just in case. But no one trespasses that close to you in TX--every house is assumed to have an armed citizen peering through the curtains if you come on to their lawn (and I’ve seen this up close and personal while walking the dog).

Then phone Nancy and Schumer asking them to support our president. Being active helps getting through this nightmare of the action of this “Supreme Court “…… also Maryann, if and when would you read on the project 25. This is a 900 page of regressive legislation presented by the heritage group.
