I could honestly watch 100 episodes of nothing but John teaching Tate how to be a cowboy. The simple stuff between a grandfather and grandson is so awesome. I felt like a kid again when he let him pick out cookies and donuts.

The only real division is in Hollywood and urban America's imagination. I grew up in a White and Native American mixed rural ranching and timber area, we were one family and one community and all the problems we had were caused from the regions urban area and the Feds telling us what rights we were allowed to have.

The bands they have songs on there are the bands my husband& I have loved FOREVER. We started with BLACKBERRY SMOKE, saw(12xs) WHISKEY MYERS(2xs) then Uncle Lucius, Tyler Childers& Puscifer. Beth&Rip were dancing& in that bar and I heard STONE & husband was talking on the phone. I was like a little kid tugging on his sleeve! Lookit! Lookit! It's WHISKEY MYERS!😂🤠❤😜😁

This almost had me ball my eye's out the entire time, I never knew or met my Grandfather but this was pretty close to how I grew up with my Dad. Out on the ranch, I've always been big time into reptiles and everything nature. And my dad would always encourage it, he was always the same but with livestock and especially dogs. We would go out on our father son nature trips all the time and he would exude so much wisdom the same as John Dutton, which coincidentally my father's name is John as well. Such a fantastic show, I'll always appreciate just for the feels.

@@tsilva2183 I don't think they show anything violent with respect to Tate. He was kidnapped by a militia of skinheads and was traumatized. The aftermath is hard to watch just because he's so young. If you've never seen the show, just know it has a lot of grit. The ones they show now on CBS or fox or whatever channel it is are edited.

Having a man like John can prepare you for the life ahead. I met a very wise old man once, he was really rich and I was around 12-13 years old, I asked him why he was so rich and he asked me "why I think he is rich?" I said because "you've never made a wrong decision in your life", he laughed and said " I've made more wrong decisions than anyone in life, its just I never let those wrong decisions scare me into not making decisions at all". We all get into tough spots in life, when you feel like there is no hope, there is nothing good that can happen and you start to think about the future based on the way things are at the moment and all you see is dark, sad road ahead but it's not like that every day we make decisions, you don't have to make the right decision everytime and when you make enough wrong decisions, you learn from it and your rate of success increases exponentially. Being a man and acting like one are two different things, don't let tough times scare you into not making a decision at all.

When my father wasn’t in the picture my grandpa from my mom side pretty much became my father figure and I love him so much and he’ll forever be my grandpa my father. Tate and John’s relationship is something incredible and yea John for everyone is a tough cowboy but at the end of the day he’s a big soft teddy bear
