I like to think its because he wasnt as beaten up by Life as he would get on later seasons.

@@Asahamana That certainly helped, but the writers made him more and more pathetic and feminine as the show went on... and the premise of living off his brother for so long made him detestable. No self-respecting man would be such a leech!

My mother-in-law is just like Evelyn in most ways.. My mother-in-law is very sensitive.. But only to her feelings.. not to other's feelings.
