    Really nice vid bro. First one of yours I've seen. Possumed with my Oldman 30 years ago. Just about exactly the same, but with bait stations. He would use clove oil or cinnamon oil for the smell to drag them in. Nice work bro. Good for the bush!!!!!

    Your a legend bro thanks for helping keep our native bush alive if only our government would see this as more beneficial than using 1080 in areas where trapping is able to be done .post more videos 👍👌

    Great vid Mate, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Old man advice here but a wide stance when river crossing helps but so too does taking your pack belt off and loosening your shoulder straps. If you trip over with the 180 traps you’ve got on your back you’re not going to get up in a hurry. Love your work.

    I always enjoy watching your videos. 180 traps! that a hell of a line to be working, nice to see it paying off with steady numbers. Whats your opinion on TB? Do you think the TB status should be lifted and a possum meat export market be opened up? Would be very appealing to target them nation wide if the whole animal was profitable.

  • @johnmead8437

    @johnmead8437

    3 жыл бұрын

    TB is localised. And TB areas are often 1080ed so uneconomic. There is always a potential problem with someone trying it on, either diseased possum or possibly poisoned ones getting processed. It stopped the hare export market in the 1960s when hunters tried selling poisoned hares, and the deer market around 2000 with a helicopter knowingly removing deer from a 1080ed area. Hunters and trust and integrity can be suspect
