I work as a baker in a small bakery in Finland from 4am to 10am or from 6am to 2pm. We have 2 bakers, a pastry chef and a deep fry operator. We make everything from salty pattys to sweet sweet buns, we are known for our soft potato flatbread that we make a minimum of 60L every day. I usually work the "graveyard shift" where i make all the breads, prep everything for the day. I love my job and im up next in the generation to run the place, its lovely to see how its done in other parts of the world. Keep it up!

The commitment and dedication with which you work is so impressive. The work of a baker is so physically demanding yet I'm sure fully satisfying. Love watching these videos. Look forward to more such videos.

I think it really matters what you do for your career but more importantly how you feed your body & soul, so if i just worked i think I would miss something in my life. thats why I find time to these activities to keep me happy, motivated and always push myself 'just a bit more'.😇 i am more than happy to hear such a response from you, thank you dear 🙃

Wonderful video, again! Your editing skills are getting better and better. Love the details of how you bake each item. Two lessons I learned: 1. your work looks very heavy! picking up very heavy items all the time. can’t be easy on your back. 2. lots of delayed gratification. you don’t see the final outcome of your work that day - once you finish rolling the croissants, they go in the fridge, not the oven! all for tomorrow. so you have to be OK with knowing they’ll be baked tomorrow but not today. very nice future-mindset...

Yes - we prepare pastries for tomorrow but it is like never ending cycle - some people prepare, some people bake, the most important the outcome and happy customer 😊🖤

I love that your work allows you to film the works as someplace might be very strict about the process and recipe but who would have stolen the recipe anyway, Besides Banana bread and muffin, who would wake up and think I'm going to make croissants today!? Anyway, I like how your video reflects the beautiful, simple normal view of your neighbourhood. It makes me feel like I have the sense of the people who live there.

Yo trabajaba en algo así pero mucho más pequeño, misma rutina, preparar en la noche lo necesario para el día siguiente y dormir, al otro día bañarme y correr porque mi trabajo también me quedaba lejos, y yo me encargaba de casi todo, solo tenía dos personas para ayudarme, hacíamos lo mismo, trabajar con la masa laminada de un día antes y hacer todos nuestros panes, después laminabamos la masa que se utilizaría al día siguiente y la masa que se va a laminar, al final la limpieza y después correr a casa, lo más desgastante era el transporte porque no tengo carro jaja Me identifiqué mucho con tu video. @@KrisKazlauskaite Hi Kris London is my home city, even though ive moved around, going home is always special, so love the early mornings anywhete. We get to see places wake up, the wdlife, the people, the elements, such a privilage, just taking 5 minutes before or afterward can help to build a good mind set....

I love seeing how other bakers days are! Its very true about making sure to stay fit and taking care of your body...during the holiday season in 2019 I ended up pulling my abdomen from lifting heavy mixing bowls onto awkwardly tall prep tables (for my height) and not addressing the injury right away. Baking is the best job ever if you ask me but it's definitely very hard on your body!

Hello! I am so sorry to hear you had an accident at work! It’s so easy actually to hurt yourself at work, if it’s not heavy lifting so it’s cut, if it’s not a cut then it’s burn and so on. Very important thing we should remember - no running in the kitchen, do things fast but not rushed. I have bad experience as well but it gave some lessons too. I personally trying not to lift more than I should anymore, still wanna do this job for awhile so I need to look after myself 😇 that is why I find time and energy to exercise after work, just to condition my body and mind 😌 are you still baking?

@@KrisKazlauskaite yes of course!! I love it way too much to give it up! I've for sure had my fair share of cuts and burns over the years but nothing ever seriously bad luckily. But it definitely is almost always something 😅Yes, after that injury I made sure to make sure I'm not overworking myself and try to get someone to help me if they will with the really heavy doughs. Exercise really is the best! A lot of people I've worked with in bakeries and kitchens have been pretty interested in keeping fit for their mind and to help with looking after the body 😌

Love the come along with me feel of your video posts. I am curious as to the general location of your bakery. I have lived in California for 40 years plus but grew up up as a child around the Elephant, Borough, London bridge and St. Georges circus. Looks like Tooley street or St. Thomas Street area?. If you return to live in Spain would you open up your own Bakery? I enjoyed your blend of mindfulness and action lifestyle along with a London backdrop.

@@KrisKazlauskaite gracias!.... es una experiencia increíble, trabajas 10 a 12 horas todos los días. No hay días libres y los contratos son de 8 a 10 meses. Tendrás de 8 a 10 semanas de vacaciones. Los salarios muy malos como la mayoría de trabajos en cocina 😂😂. Yo trabajé en Royal Caribbean. Lo positivo es que puedes conocer muchos países gratis y comida gratis. Mucha suerte en la panadería!! Saludos

20 years ago I started a side business baking organic dog treats and a local bakery let me use their ovens during the day and I rented a section of their warehouse. Today I have distributors and stores as well as selling pet treats all over the United States. Maybe you could start a side business doing the same there. People love their pets and that business continues to grow no matter what the rest of the economy is doing. Good luck to you.

@@KrisKazlauskaite Hello. I will check out the link you sent to me and thank you. My product name is "Bellyrubs" and my company name is Meyer Country Farms. I started with baked organic dog treats but don't make those any more as I was ahead of the curve and was hard to find organic ingredients when I started. I how have companies make for me freeze dried beef liver, tuna flakes for cats and baked chicken strips with only one ingredient. These are my top sellers but also have other items. I don't sell them in Europe as would be expensive to ship them there and I don't know all the rules for selling there. You are in Europe and perhaps want to check out Interzoo which is perhaps the worlds largest pet products show being held in Nuremberg Germany May 24th thru 27th. I don't think it is open to the general public but you might be able to attend if you say you have a website and sell online. I don't know. It has always been my dream to attend and there are hundreds of exhibitors offering pet product manufacturing. If you are interested let me know and I can tell you how inexpensive it is to get started using stock bags and printed labels etc.
