Beautiful Remembrance of President Kennedy and his family. The last Thanksgiving just after The President's death. Tears came to my eyes when Jackie spoke the lyrics from Camelot. 60 years gone by so quickly. Thank you for this Beautiful post. May President Kennedy Rest in Peace. ✝️. A wonderful President. The country or the Presidency has never been the same!! Prayers in Remembrance of the Kennedy family!!!

You are so easily fooled! All of these photo opportunities were staged, review, scripted, edited etc., to suck in gullible, suggestible, vulnerable, naive people. People don't Rest in Peace; they are dead. They don't exist anymore. Did you use to watch Soap Operas and cry when they were all over television. I hope you learn from my comment. Would you like to buy the Brooklyn Bridge?

Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg is doing just fine, she inherited money from her dad's family and Jackie's money from Onassis, plus John John left his money to her children, then talk about her husband's money, he is a billionaire, his family are textile billionaires, money money money!

I was 13 when our President was shot. Everyone was in absolute shock. That truly was the end of such a hopeful time. Our family adored the Kennedy family, especially my mother's side. We too had wonderful Thanksgivings with extended family and friends dropping in. Living in New England, on very cold days then, we could ice skate or take a walk if the ice was not safe. Such beautiful memories.

Brings tears to my eyes 😭😭😭 I was 4 years, 8 months old when the great John F. Kennedy was murdered. My Mum (we are Canadian) says that my younger brother, younger sister & I only had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for breakfast, lunch & dinner that whole week through as she was too distraught and was glued to the TV 24/7. In 1967 my Father brought for her (from the States) 😮a beautiful oval oil painting portrait of JFK painted directly on a slice of a tree trunk--it still has the bark pieces on the frame. When my mother died in 1999 I kept it with me and I wish that I could be buried with it when I myself die--no doubt he was a great human being for the world. Even at age 64 8 months I cannot get over this tragedy. I cried like crazy last Wednesday on the 60th 'anniversary' of his death. It is true that "the good die young" 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪.......

I was living in Baldwin Park, California. I was eight years old. On November 22, 1963, I stayed home from school, and I do not remember why. While playing on the living room floor, as the TV was on, I heard a scream from the kitchen. My mother ran to the TV and turned up the volume, and we watched and heard the announcement from Walter Cronkite that the President had been shot. I will never forget that day. My cousin said that while he was in the auditorium at Birch Elementary, our school, he witnessed teachers and staff crying. America will never be the same. John F. Kennedy, I believe would have kept America out of the Vietnam war. He lowered taxes, which caused a boom in the US economy. He was the last Great Democrat as he loved this country, a President for the people, and not like today for special interests. I often think, what would life be like today if he had only lived. Thank you for this video and the wonderful memories of the Kennedy family.

I hope you are enjoying your meal and the people around your table. I still remember the fateful day in Texas. I was ten years old and in the fifth grade when our teacher asked us to come in from recess. When we came in our teacher broke down with the bad news. When I was a senior in high school, a large number of us made the senior trip to Washington, DC and were fortunate to see many points of interest which include a tour of the White House.

Thank you for your beautiful warm intimate family portrait of a Kennedy Thanksgiving The images and video you put together truly comprise our fondest memory of this wonderful man and his family While it remains almost impossible to reconcile the magnificence of this man with the fact that he was murdered by elements of our own American government I’ll close with some lyrics from my song City Of Hate "I was walking down my high school stairway when somebody shouted out the news All of a sudden kids were screaming and crying innocence lost forever too soon innocence lost forever too soon..."

Picture perfect scenes but behind the scenes they were a truly messed up family and Rosemary was just the tip of the iceberg. Joseph Kennedy was a crook who made his fortune through bootlegging and insider trading on Wall Street. He claimed to be a good Catholic but was also was running around on Rose with many mistresses. The apples didn't fall very far from the tree and JFK, who also claimed to be a good Catholic, had many mistresses of his own not to mention his gay BFF/roommate from prep school, Lem Billings, who was his constant companion and even had his own room in the White House when JFK was POTUS. One of my uncles was acquainted with Bobby and Ethel because he sold swimming pools and installed a pool at their Hickory Hill mansion. He said Ethel Kennedy had the foulest mouth of any woman he had ever been around. He said she literally cussed like a sailor. Of course when this video was shot in 1956 Mary Joe was still a teen and more than a decade away from her fatal ride in that Olds 88 across the dike bridge at Chappaquiddick with a drunken Teddy.

One wonders what this country might have become if the dark lords didn't win that day in 1963. We would not be where we are now, in a life and death struggle with these same forces. It would be a completely different world. But it is what it is, and hopefully we will prevail against the most evil influences in the world.

Thanks for the memories of Thanksgivings with the Kennedys on the Cape. I have lived most of my 75 years on the Cape not far from the compound. I have the Kennedy Compound Cookbook which is a real delight and the cookbook by Jackie's cook and former governess Marta Scubin which desribes Jackie's Thanksgivings and Christmases which is also a wonderful read with many great candid family photos! I would have liked to be spared about the assassination and funeral because even after all these decades it's still very painful to see photos from that! I get sad seeing John and Carolyn knowing that they were both klled in the plane crash off of Martha's Vineyard! Too many tragedies in that iconic family! smdh

I grew up in a very Kennedy loving family. I mean , his pictures was on all our walls, Grammy wore necklace with his image, ma had earrings with his image , he was talked about in praises and adoration. When he died our family was brokenhearted. I watched the Kennedy family from a child’s view… of ll the presidents since , I’ve not seen one photo in any of our houses of any politician, let alone a president! What was there about JFK that caused such a sense of loyalty and respect?

That was a nice illusion you painted that I enjoyed. Reality is too harsh these days. Why no alcohol, such as wine, not served on Thanksgiving Day Dinner?
