Doc's grind is just a different kind of flavour. Grian fishing 2000 times to (not) get a mending book is a respectable grind, too. Doc on the other hand is more like: why do the work for 20 minutes when I can build a machine and automate it in just 6 hours? Doc, you are the kind of lazy that led humanity from using scythes to gps assisted combine harvesters.

@@nikolesandy937 the man could atleast use iron tools, or even better enchanted iron tools. (Not maxed out, just with whatever levels he has. Enchants are very strong as shown by Zed's best worst armor&tools last season) And I'm sure he has enough iron to make as many as he needs, but its also not like iron is in short supply on the server between Tango & Impulse, Cub, and i assume Doc has one. (And the HHOA should be getting one soonish)

I still think the funniest way I've heard someone put it was Pearl saying something along the lines of "Now to get started on my starter base... which I recognise is not a starter base for most people." At least some of the Hermits are slightly self-aware about it.

You need to play 3D chess, Doc. Instead of fighting on multiple fronts, use deception to get your enemies to fight each other. What if you got big salmon really upset with the hillbillies and vice versa? Draw two large factions into a war with one another and you'll be able to operate clandestinely in the field while pulling all the strings behind the scenes.

May I suggest displaying the salmon heads in the most passive-aggressive way possible - on top of the shorter end of lightning rods, surrounded by redstone dust, so it looks like a field of the medieval "head on a spike" thing, with two extra spikes labled with "reserved for " Edit: dripstone would work too...

absolutely loved the flyover of the server. feel like it's hard to get a sense of how close the hermits are to each other in the early game, so seeing the layout episode 2 is soooo nice. fingers crossed we create some really cool mapping art etc as a community

"I don't like to do anything/editing" does a lot of stuff and edits a huge movie for a first episode yeah xD

This feels so back to the roots, Doc living in the swamp, I remember the mindcrack season where Doc hunted Villagers like pokemon and tought me everything about trading (which was kinda new back then) and now the hivemind and Doc will teach all about crafters etc. The only thing that is a bit concerning are some "fishy" people on the server... bullying hard working hermits ;)

I'm disappointed that I only found out about Doc in HC s10. Really makes me wanna go and watch every single other season Doc has done. I just need more of... this.. 😂 (I just hope he does more 3 hour long episodes. The previous ep was one of the most entertaining things i have watched in literal years.)

I started watching doc in season 9 and the start of the season was AMAZING nothing but banger after banger of an episode. Attempted spoiler free telling of my first impression of Doc below: I had never been exposed to technical Minecraft before and started watching Hermitcraft I think because of Grian in MCC. All I knew about Minecraft before was hypixel minigames, skyblock, a little parkour, and very, very basic survival. There was an interesting moment in one of Grian's videos caused by Doc that was pretty funny. I went over to Doc's channel for his point of view of the incident. What I saw in the episode opening was not at all what I expected to see, it was a thousand times more impressive than the event that led me to his channel initially. My jaw was on the floor. I went back and watched his first few episodes and couldn't stop watching until I caught up to present day.

S8 is shorter than the rest and has a REALLY cool vibe in doc's vids With the shorter season the vibe is more planned out, but still has some REALLY cool moments, like the debut of shadow block technology

@@benjaminhondorp8593 Since I am still slightly more of a Grian fan, I've gone back and have started binge watching from his, Mumbo's, and doc's perspectives starting with season 6. I started the binge watching after season 9 wrapped up since the break was going to be at least a little while. I'm about 2/3 the way through I think.

For episode one, I put on the sweet sound of the GOAT while falling asleep, but once I woke up, I realized that I had missed most of the movie. I had to re-watch what I had missed, but I will for sure not to make this mistake again! The GOAT rises again.

The hermit interactions have been so entertaining this season!

I kind of wish you were more local with the other hermits, but you know, goat gotta goat. Every hermit all within a few hundred blocks has been such a treat.

My approach to Hermitcraft watching normally is that I watch Docs shenanigans as the start and then the other Hermits follow after that. After all it’s Docs world, they just live in it. Managed to make an automatic weakness potion dispenser using the use of player with the help of Raid captain mechanics. Thank for that tip. The trick is to use the chicken as a target since it's under 4 hearts and put it 3 blocks away and high enough for potions not to reach it, or use bubble column. The main point is you don't have to go to nether to cure the villagers.

I have to add that inspiration for using witch to throw potions at zombies came from Scicraft skyblock series.
