Can't wait to get one. Still in love with my 17' Axys though
Nice to know my 650 is built just like this. 👍

I cant wait to hit the snow on my new 2024 850 Assault and XCR.
So good guys what an amazing engine and great explanation of the entire history behind it! Solid work 🤜🤛
Awesome information on the 850 Patriot! Such a great reliable engine!
Love the video explanation things, really appreciate this kind of stuff. I always prefered Polaris Snowmobiles but SADLY i bailed ship, i just cant stand a company this big, making this kind of performance stuff and yet having motors blow up for "no reason" and you need to carry a bag full of spark plugs just because "a 2 stroke EFI is hard to map". Im just sick of the excuses im being fed. When i drive 14 hours to ride, i wanna ride, not be worried that the pistons might shoot out or not coming up a hill cause a sparkplug just died. People be like "never heard of this" And still everyone around me has same problems. Fix it!
Since I have a shiny new Khaos Slash 850 in the trailer, this is an especially cool video to watch.

Same lol
what an absolute beast. polaris always the leader in innovation.
How about you get the ones that are already out there allowed to be ridden??? stop ride anyone???
I’d like to see offset cylinders from crank centerline, cuts friction, Yamaha Gp road race combustion chambers they are more efficient and less area to absorb heat. Totally map able ignition system. BTW TZ250 Yamahas made 75HP, do the math that 850 would be making 255hp if you used the port mapping and pipe configuration of a TZ250
How about explaining more about 3 stage exhaust valve operation. I got a trouble message last year while riding and had to get VES recalibrated so would like to understand better.
By far the best performing Polaris snowmobile engine I have ever had. Still have durability/quality concerns as two of my friends have had major issues with their 850s (one is a 2019 and the other is 2023). I expect “Fuji 500” durability, especially considering todays purchase/repair costs!

I miss the ol’ Fuji…. If only they were as reliable as they were in the 90’s!

I have a Fuji 500. The one thing people forget is that in order to go 5000 miles between rebuilds in the mountains, you needed to give up horsepower. It makes about 80hp, and is dead nuts reliable. Any attempt to gain power seemed to have an extremely detrimental effect on the longevity. Now we have an engine less than twice the size making more than twice the power. If your piston pins stay in, and you didn't get one of the misassembled 850s where the crank bearing never got lock-tite, they generally last 3-5000 miles still.
"liberty motors starts with 1997 440 xcr" Shows 1992 XCR At least they got one of the best, at the time, xcr's compared to the competition
Are polaris going to get a new eingene 🤔
XCR 900r please.
So how come my 650 keeps fouling plugs !!???
I get boost doesent put much stress on the crank but why didn’t I guys use the 9R crank I prove it works at Jackson those mod sleds where weapons . So we all know you are coming out with a 900 boost in 2026 Plus u could have ported out the cylinders alot u forgot to do it to mine lol. Why are the case part numbers different some u basically made a billet crank. My 850 motor is slow as hell in my 24 boost please put a 9 mod in mine lol!
Awesome... i just dont like the electric oil pump thing.

Get used to it. Emissions is killer on the 2t. By going electric they can vary the oil rate by RPM to make sure it passes emissions while still having enough oil wide open, and very little oil to keep it from loading up at idle. If it makes you feel better, I was working on my buddies boat motor. 200hp v6, with a variable oil injection. 50:1 at wide open, 180:1 at idle.
How long before "Stop Ride" 🤣
A 900 xcr
Buy skidoo
Polaris sucks
