Awe, my daughter ran this and the 800 meters as a wee little one too and medaled in each and the high jump. She anchored her high school 4x400 as a freshman. First time at nationals I couldn’t see her finish since I was crying with joy and we didn’t keep the camera on her 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm a competetive runner who loves the sport and tonight I watched a new men's World Record for the 5000M on the track. Twas in Monaco - took down the old world record of 16+ years standing by 2 whole seconds - blew my away! This performance, however, was something altogether 'other' - extraordinary! Beautiful pacing and running action. What a star! Joshua Cheptegei, yr in 2nd place tonight.
