She’s a senior who got beat the exact same way by Oregon the year before as a junior. So She learned the lesson the hard way, carried the pain of it The Whole year, and let it propel her in the last 100 meters. Wiped out, too tired to celebrate in the end. Life can be like that.

i'm pretty new to running, and foolishly i took a drunken bet to run the london marathon this year. i attempted it with just a months training behind me. i was a bit overwhelmed by how big an event it is tbh. there were 40,000 runners, 40 THOUSAND. i was way at the back, elites at the front of course, then club runners, then people who can actually run. like i said i was at the back, with people dressed as ostriches and teenage mutant ninja turtles, i was dressed in a body bag, to save time at the finish line. i couldn't even see the start from where i was, it was so far back. everyone kept warning me in training, "watch out for the WALL" there was that many people there that it took me 10 minutes to reach the start line.... I HIT THE WALL TWICE!!!. i quit running after that. 10 minutes of running and i only completed 50 yards.

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve come back to watch this race. It’s one of my favorites. This is definitely one of those moments in Kendall’s life, where she can reflect back fondly. I envision her old and grey - with her grandkids - saying: “back in my day, grandma came out of nowhere and made up those last 30 meters and won the race”. They’ll chuckle and think she’s embellishing, but we all saw it happen. It was pure magic! ✨

It looked like the Kentucky sprinter was trying to either (1)hit the USC sprinter's arm, (2)wrist, (3)hand/fingers or (4) hit the Baton. Why would the Kentucky sprinter do that ? Frustration? To stop the pass from the inside? Or was it to make the USC sprinter flinch and drop the Baton. Then claim it was causality or an accident.

I love watching these type running videos. These types of races give me inspiration and at times tears of joy for the runner. I wished when I was in college I would not have made fun of Track and Field as a sport. If I could go back I would so train for this sport. I started my running journey at age 30. Its been 3 years now and a hell of a ride. I don't know how I would still be alive without running. It brought me out of a deep depression and has kept me sane ever since. Best drug in the world. I went from barely walking a mile in 13 minutes to a PR of 6'56". Planning a flat track run soon to go for a 6'40". That might sound slow but for someone that was formely boderline obese, smoked for 10 years. Thats a huge accomplishment
