The fact of not living up to our potential is a key motivator for Me, from someone who feels that much of my life has been wasted, all I can do is make the most of what time I have left!

I've been sober since last October, finally after struggling for over 10 years. Alcohol dependence is hell and once I truly experience life sober quitting is a no brainer

Day 59 for me, and no desire whatsoever. Having a friend over tonight who I always drank hard with. Told her it’s BYOB from now on. I’m looking for word to a nice evening of food, ginger ales , and friendship. Especially looking forward to no hangover tomorrow! OMG it’s the best! As much as enjoyed my first few drinks, it usually went downhill from there. Drinking makes me lose my appetite for good food, and it made me so sleepy. Now I fully enjoy company and love that I can be present for them.

How funny is that, that people will wake up in the morning, say to themselves that they'll never do it again, but that evening are back at it again. Part of that is our body and mind's ability to forget ill feelings, think of a person who runs a marathon. I have, and after the race, you say to yourself, I'd never do that again. After a couple of days, you are thinking about the next one. That said, the other part of that is the addiction. Your brain will start asking for the substance when it senses a shortage after some time passes and it is used to having the substance. That is the simple explanation for a craving. This is a mental game, no two ways about it. Thanks for the great video!

Addiction is real, never had an alcohol addiction when I was on meth, now that I’m off meth for 15 years I find that I’ve replaced it with alcohol, addiction is addiction, and I’m tired of giving up my self control to a substance, including nicotine! Trying to move on!

Been watching your videos for a long time. Something always hits. When I feel I’m on top of my boozing and have a break, I eventually go back to where I was! Might be the time to get in touch, I relate to so much of what you say! Feel like I won’t “fit in” as a non drinker but want that so bad. I want to be healthy again. Old ish video but still as always great advice. Thanks 👍🏼

Not a massive alcoholic but can see my self needing 4-6 a night with the occasional blow out and I’ve mainly got control but I can see it negatively effecting my life with money wasted motivation and weight. Definitely wanting to quit for good juts really scared, match that with social anxiety.

There’s a guy I met and haven’t seen since 2001 we grew up together and he’s done very very well he looks great lovely wife and family and successful in his business. I’ve done well too maybe not quite as much but it hit home that 20 years goes by and we’re getting older drink will stop fulfilment of life and one day you go. Oh shit I’ve wasted so much money and time

In my U S state, the latest vaccine distribution promotion in my state is that a local brewery will give you a coupon for a free can of beer if you get jabbed. Other states are promising incentives like a complete and total waiver of tuition and housing costs for four years of college as the grand prize of a lottery scheme or a free brand new automobile or a check for one million dollars. One state on the East Coast of the U S is promising a coupon for a free shot of whiskey if you get a jab of vaccine. Should alcohol be used as a reward prize for getting a COVID 19 vaccine jab?

No he didn't. It's a 12.5 minute long video. He has the intro and then 8 other parts of the video. Each reason is a part. That's 9 separate things to go over. So he spent roughly 1 minute and 23 seconds on average going over each thing. That's actually pretty fast.
