Step 1 is mine and has been very useful. "Reframing the way I view alcohol/ethanol/poison". You nailed it with this because you are correct, it is everywhere and glorified by most. Especially if I want to live healthy, it doesn't make any sense to keep poisoning my body. Thank you very much for all of your work and knowledge. You have helped me tremendously!! I am only 2 months SOBER and with starting intermittent fasting, low carb diet, and exercising and boom.... My heart doctor is now taking me off 1 of my blood pressure medicines, I have lost over 30lbs. and I feel amazing!!

The only thing that made me stop was age I literally had enough of booze at 47 I didn’t want anymore blackouts from binge drinking I was drinking worse then I did when I was 27 , I decided I wanted to grow as a person and totally change every aspect of myself as a person without booze and first off was my social life abs how I depended on alcohol to control my social anxiety.. it’s not easy but once you realise what alcohol is abs how it effects every aspect of your life you have to decide do you value your life and who you are as a human being , are you worth saving or is your self loathing so bad that you’ll keep drinking ?

I reframed my view of beer by calling it Loserade. I see alcohol now as a Stupifier and the evidence is all around, just listerning to conversations getting sillier and sillier as the evening goes on is pathetic and I used to be right in the middle of it. Now I am able to enjoy social occaisions for the genuine contacts but can just say goodnight and leave when it starts getting silly.

Changing the way I look at alcohol is my favorite tip. Once that happened for me I saw the light it was game on. I felt like such a fool for buying into the conditioning. When I see alcohol adds now I see them for what they are and inside I chuckle.

Your channel is HIGHLY under rated!! Such good stuff. You'r doing great brotha. Thinking of quitting alcohol. I've quit other much worse things in years past. Alcohol was never an issue, but now that those other substances have been gone for a while, the alcohol is always there like a crutch that I don't like to use, but feel weak enough to lean on from time to time.. How can we fix the desire to lean on a chemical crutch? Surely its not the chemical that's the problem, but what ever is causing me (or addicts alcoholics in general) to feel like we rely on the substances in such a way.

Really enjoying your content, proving to be very useful to me on my personal journey. I’m only a few weeks in, but I had that eureka moment and realised the only way for me to control my drinking was to stop. Have to say, though, that I disagree with you regarding alcohol free beer! I love the craft beer movement and, in the UK, there are so many really good alcohol free beers - it’s a massive trend right now actually. I’m finding that I’m getting through to the weekend and getting the same release from having an alcohol free beer, except I’m having one rather than six and waking up on Sundays feeling amazing!

Non-alcoholic beers can be great for making other people feel more comfortable. I still enjoy going to bars and clubs for socializing and music and I've found that my non-drinking can make others feel uncomfortable with their own drinking which can kill the fun vibes I went out for in the first place so sometimes I'll use non-alcoholic beers to sort of "pretend" I'm drinking to help make others feel more comfortable. Personally, I'd rather just have a water or soda but now I don't mind having to work a little smarter and harder to get what I really want.

Vince...why do u feel the need to make others feel comfortable about drinking bleach? If your child was drinking bleach would you hold a bottle that looked like it had bleach in it just so as not to make your child feel uncomfortable? You are not being honest with your friends Vince. Your excuse is that you want them to feel comfortable. But perhaps the truth is that YOU fear being uncomfortable if they knew your true feelings about drinking bleach? You would not deceive your own child in this manner... no matter how uncomfortable it made them.

Back when I was drinking I had already gave myself up to God. God, I think I’m out of whiskey. 🤪 Honestly, the alcoholic meeting thing is replacing one form of conditioning for another, what it lacks is understanding. Like you can’t do crime when you are in jail. Yeah, nah. I figured out the problem was everything has a cost, it comes down to what you are willing to pay.

I’ve early liver cirrhosis and have been told I’ve got between 2 to 5 years to reverse it, or succumb to an early death. I’m 47. I don’t want to die and leave my three sons without me. Alcoholism is prevalent throughout both sides of my family. I really want to find the strength to do this, but now we’re in lockdown in NZ, I’m finding my resolve hard to keep. Is the idea of replacing alcohol and the habits that go with it worth exploring for someone like me? For example a nice dinner (I rarely eat dinner) a low sugar soft drink and any other recommended substitutes that might seem more inviting than drinking?

I have also been struggling with this and have tried everything except rehab. I have read the book The easy way to quit drinking alcohol without willpower by Allen Carr three times. I will say that I can tell these videos and program have everything to do with that method but also take it to the next level. What Leon adds here is “skin in the game”. I after listening to this realize he is 100% correct and I also understand why. If you haven’t read the book I mentioned above I would advise any of you to read it. My version is the kindle version which I have read on my iPad. I believe in this book and that’s why I believe in Leon’s approach. I have watched quite a few of Leon’s videos and realize the best way to be successful is the skin in the game. I see alcohol for what it is yet still cannot remove it from my life as of yet. The reason is the skin in the game. I believe I need to pay for the coaching because in that program they will teach me how to get back on track with my life so that as time goes by I will notice the difference in my life myself. As he says, doing the same things but not drinking for three years will show me nothing. Seeing the changes and positive differences will be all I or we need to realize we never want to live this way again. We will never risk so much again for something that took so much from us. We will be able to see the years we wasted on a harmful chemical for what they were. Then and only then will we appreciate all we have accomplished sober because we invested in ourselves and put skin in the game. I’m ready 💪🏻😊🤙🏻

And I do not know Leon and have not made the call. I simply have read the book I described above which is why I already know everything Leon is talking about. The book still didn’t fully help me and I believe it’s because I’m still not seeing the positive of what my life can be without alcohol. I see alcohol for what it is but need to take that first step and invest in myself. I’m telling you all this because I have been there and also read the book. I have not reached out to Leon yet but after this video of many I’ve watched I see a path that will work for me. My life matters to me and I know all of yours does to you as well. I only spoke up because I care and hope we all can escape this horrible nightmare known as Alcohol. God willing we all will and God bless you all on your journey.
