8 Of The WEIRDEST Things Every INFJ Does

8 Of The Weirdest Things Every INFJ Does | Being one of the rarest and outcasted personality types, there's a long list of weird things infjs do in their day to day life. The typical strange infj behavior is nothing out of the ordinary for the INFJ type themselves, however, for other people, these infj habits could be considered "weird".
So, what are the weirdest things the INFJ personality type does? Is it fair to say infjs are weird compared to the rest of society?

Embarrassing? I wouldn’t say so. It’s called “introspection”. Personally I think it’s something more people should be doing. However yes, I’m very good at knowing what’s a “nope” than a “yep”. And no, people shouldn’t compromise their morals. Plus doesn’t everyone have their little eccentricities? I’ve actually worked very hard to say EXACTLY what I mean by choosing my words very carefully. Unfortunately, people mostly hear what they want to hear, NOT what you ACTUALLY say. I wouldn’t call it keeping secrets so much as not telling everything to everyone when it isn’t my business to do so. Especially if I know it will work out better if I do nothing. I refuse to lie. I’ve learned to bring a book to gatherings I can’t avoid so no one thinks much about lack of external reactions. When people ask me anyway, I tell them I have a lot on my mind, I don’t like crying in front of others etc. I can’t STAND people expecting a certain reaction from me like happiness from a present. Brown nosing is another way of lying. That’s why we don’t like it. And yes, better compliments are actions, not words. INFJs study people. Of course we are tolerant of annoyance. But we are also introverts, we ARE going to get annoyed and overwhelmed easily, especially by the general everyday lies and hypocrisy that are difficult to combat. So some of these I think describe people in general, some hit the mark, but some hit the mark for different reasons than stated.

Agreed. These videos are typically pretty accurate, but sometimes there's a nuance missing (typically from maturity or A vs T). I also cannot stand lying and it's crazy how much humans lie. I could write paragraphs about this... Through conscious and unconscious ways this happens, but I have learned it's why I stand out. I like the truth... Unbiased, ugly, beautiful truth. I want to be in that only. It's what causes me to lose relationships, to hardly have any close friends (if any), and why I'm misunderstood much of the time (I don't placate or sugar coat but I'm also not an a-hole). I can say things with truth and love but people still reject it and find it odd. I feel like I live in crazy town most of the time. I simply don't understand why people wouldn't want to be honest in all ways. Still, these videos remind me of my younger self and make me smile at what everyone sees as quirks. It's nice to be understood at least somewhat 🙂

@@ashleybennetts3108 "It's crazy how much humans lie" :) Change your mind, and the world around you will change as well. In other words, you would stop attracting people who deal in general with NPD or BPD, people who lack self-love and at their core are afraid of rejection, therefore their lying. Obviously, not everyone who deals with these conditions are prone to lying. That would be absurd. If you continue to attract people like these, it only means that you need to heal them and/or you still need to "upgrade" your cognitive functions. I had two best friends for 15 years and a couple of Operational Managers who were dealing with narcissism because of their broken past. I needed them as much as they needed me, and now "we're" free of charges. P.S. The only lies that people should make naturally no matter their type, are those when they don't want to hurt others.

@@ashleybennetts3108in some things that were said I could see my MUCH younger, like elementary school age, self, but others not at all. Some just kinda broadly describe a large group of people. Not necessarily INFJs. I learned rather quickly that you can nearly ALWAYS tell anyone anything you want and still leave them smiling and/or thanking you for it. It’s all in the wording, timing, and feelings you project behind it if you need to tell someone a hurtful truth but don’t want to hurt them. Whether people realize it or not they respond to the feelings around them, just like how anyone can hear anyone else smiling on the phone, they pick up on your feelings when you’re talking to them. If you’re worried and anxious because you’re trying not to hurt them, they’re only going to feel worried and anxious themselves. And no, I’m not referring to sugar coating something with words either- it’s basically the difference between saying “you look like 2 week old crap” and “you don’t look okay, are you feeling alright?”. Which do you think is upsetting and which shows concern even though both are 100% true statements? Personally my biggest pet peeve being around people in general is everyone asking “how are you?”. If you don’t want to know don’t ask because I will TOTALLY answer in painstaking detail for at least 30 minutes till you learn your lesson. If I have to do it one person at a time then I will. Why are random strangers asking me this just because they walked by? If you want to be friendly just say “hi” and move along. Otherwise you’re going to hear how I am from the top of my head down to my toes, then my emotional state, family relationships, then compare it all to the day before, then the week before, year before, and good luck trying to get away till you manage to come up with a “good mannered” excuse because for some reason people WILL stand there and listen because of “traditional” good manners which is SO weird, but hey, 2 birds with one stone- don’t ask if you don’t actually want to know and just because something is considered traditional or good mannered doesn’t mean you should always do it.

@@Katie-Didn-t I definitely agree on the how you word things front, but the older I get - the less effort I put into it depending on the person. Sometimes you have people who simply don't receive things no matter how you say it. Lol, you've also brought up another thing we have in common. I've always told people that I don't like the social "hey, how are you?" Because it prompts me to tell the truth -ha! And they're not really asking, so I typically ask twice to people I know so that they understand I'm truly asking. Plenty more to say (always) but, unfortunately, my culture demands I spend most of my time working- not chatting 😣 thanks for your insights. Hope you have a blessed day!

@@ashleybennetts3108 I understand about not having time to talk philosophy, not sure what you mean by culture not permitting though, although I’d like to. But I too phrase it more like “please let me know how you’re doing if or when you want to talk, I DO care and want to know but I don’t want to push or make you feel like you need to give a socially acceptable answer.” That way it’s not a question, they don’t have to lie, and can approach me whenever without a pre-existing barrier.

What's embarrassing about trying to figure yourself out??? I think it's embarrassing to not self reflect because those people are narcissistic. This guy is insulting us for being self aware. Wow. 🙄😑👎 How about thanking us for not going around hurting and screwing people over like most people? We're genuine and caring and helpful. Excuse me, yes I do say what I mean and mean what I say! People don't have a hard time understanding what I say because i know how to communicate very well I've studied psychology and relationships and I have several close friends I've been friends with for over a decade. I know how to resolve conflict.
