Good review… I was one of those people that saw this trap on Amazon and said, “that silly thing will never work!” But I had a noisy little furry offender banging around in the walls and the kitchen every night. Messy glue strips and dangerous poison pellets didn’t work, so I tried this. Unbelievable! It worked in less than an hour. Really nice gadget to have! Clean, humane and simple. I’d recommend it to anyone. :)

Hello Shawn. It's a year later, I've had excellent success with the two traps that I purchased. I found an open space under the stairs to my laundry (hose on piers with crawlspace). Closed the open space and no more mice in the house. Thanks for what you do and post.

Immediately after watching this video, went to Home Depot and 3 hours later just finished installing wire mesh to all my grate covers :D thank you!

You really were able to handle that minor rodent incursion pretty quickly with this trap. Very very interesting. Nice job!

We have one of these - works like a charm on our annual mouse visits in the garage (late summer to winter). If there's one mouse there's usually a few more. Put just the smallest peanut in there, and ZAP! Usually put fresh batteries in it as well, to ensure it would have most zapping.

I've seen many different styles of traps but this one is by far the most shocking.

Peanut butter as bait will work or sometimes no bait at all will and leave them down flat rather than folding up the sides to form a tunnel.

@@javalavadingdong They are only guided by basic brain function. If anything moves or makes a sound their brain gets alerted of a danger and they scamper away. But if they see their dead comrades trapped in a device, they dont have the brain capacity to realize that its a trap.

100% works and works quickly. There was mouse evidence in the kitchen silverware drawer. No bueño. I bought one and it paid for itself in less than 5hrs.

Hello Shawn. On your recommendation I got two of these traps and last night one of them bore fruit. I like this better than the spring traps. Thanks for the research that you do.

@@HotRoute7 Hello. I've had excellent results with these traps. Clean, no blood or feces. One of my spring traps was dragged under the house never to be seen again.

Either the register box isn’t attached to the floor correctly or you have a pipe issue maybe a rust hole or a joint off the pipes should be airtight all the way to the furnace

Who said they use a furnace, in the UK we use a boiler and radiators for central heating. Fancy houses have underfloor.

Shawn, you really need to find where the mice are getting into your ductwork and fix it. All that mouse pee and poop getting blown all through your house is awful.

I got one based on this video since my mice aren’t triggering the snap traps. It’s totally effective! It shocks them for a lot longer than I thought it would-a full minute. So it’s super unpleasant to be around when it goes off but it does the job.

*On the plus side, Mrs Skunk loves the medium rare mice.*

Electrocution is actually more humane (and convenient) than live-catch traps where you drive the live mouse far from your house (and its nest and familiar territory) and leave it to be eaten by predators. I would recommend wearing disposable gloves to empty the traps.

PSA for all mice out there. Do not go in Shawn's house. Ever.

It's capacitors and DC voltage. 8000 volts DC won't power any neighborhood. Only AC voltage powers up the panels in your house.

A few days ago, the green light came on. I was surprised because I had seen no new mice or droppings. I ended up catching 3 in 2 days. My house is now mouse free and I didn't even know new mice had moved in. This trap is amazing.

By the way, I added no seeds. It was just the peanut butter in the bait tray. That was it. They still went after it.

Pro-tip. These may work well for the mouse but the larger ones for rats are a bust. At least for me. I had about 5 setup and no kills ever. What got the rats were old school spring traps with the kill bar. The all metal ones are best.

The last mouse was kinda like “should I go in or not?” And when he decided to go in ..... :(

Tootsie Rolles wrapped around the trigger on a regular wooden snap trap worked for me!

How do you clean a trap like this and how often? I’d imagine there would be smells left behind other potential victims would avoid and bacteria or other bad stud they were carrying.

I just checked this trap out on Amazon and it's already sold out. Shawn's endorsement of this good trap worth gold for the Owltra company...

I hope you find out where in your ventilation system they are getting in. Assuming it's not just the floor vent. That seems like a big problem, with urine and feces getting blown throughout your house causing raspatory illness. You'll definitely want to get that resolved ASAP. If possible make a quick video of you finding it and fixing it.

@@kirbyculp3449 I you use a trap outdoors, secure it to a larger piece of board. I lost my trap when (I expect) a racoon carried off the squirrel caught in the trap. Still haven’t found the trap.

I've been using this trap for well over a year and it works great! In fact, I bought 2 more when I saw how well they work! I had an issue with one of them at the start and customer service was very easy to work with and replaced the unit very fast! 👍👍👍

I understand your concern about the health hazard those mice pose. I recommend cleaning and sealing your ducts. There's no good reason for there to be any gap in the system. Aside from your furnace blowing whatever mouse excrement is in the ducts into the rest of your house, your heating system can't be operating properly with such leaks.There are companies dedicated to such things.

I got Lyme disease from a mouse tick, while trimming the hedges in my yard. Thanks for the videos!

Great review . Picked one up off of Amazon and i caught a mouse in less than 24 hrs . Woke up to a bright flashing green light!

What a great video. This has to be one of the best mousetraps I've seen, because there is no mess like from a spring-loaded trap, it's easy to empty, and has a notification light. Just a great job in sharing this!

I hope you're able to find where they're getting in and plug it up. That's what I had to do in our farmhouse and was successful.

I've found that hot glue works excellently with grain-type baits. Just put them once

I could practically hear the crunch, crunch, crunch when the skunk was eating.

That skunk sure is heavy because it's hanging around Shawns house so often.

I really like the closing music. It has a pleasing dead rodent feel to it.
