Hi everyone welcome to the 75K+ Mile Review of my Infiniti QX70. I give a detailed review of how well the exterior and interior has held up the last 75K miles. I discuss the "unforeseen cost" I experienced since my last 45K mile review. Thanks for watching and leave a comment about your FX35/37 or QX70 ownership experience. Great video Orlando! Over here in Australia I have a 2017 3.0d version in Graphite Shadow, just about to hit 120k km's (75k Miles) and have to agree with the comments on the painting Infiniti did; after 6 years since I picked it up from the Dealer, it has been waxed 2-3 times per year, machined polished & ceramic coated at 100k km's and still looks like it rolled off the line yesterday. Interior quality too is pristine, no rips, marks or anything, just a very slight dullness from the sun on the front seats that Maguirers Leather Care took care of in 10 minutes. No dullness or fading to the dash, no creaks anywhere in the plastic items, no bubbles in the privacy glass or tinting. Overall this is the best investment for a car I have made, glad my wife and I chose it over the Porche Maccan at the time. Mechanical-wise it has been serviced every year, and the only issue that arose was at 90k when the aircon was getting confused between hot and cold that a ECU reset had to correct.

Hey Luke thanks for watching and the feedback (very thorough) on your QX70! Much appreciated. I’ve been using Maguirers for years great line of car products. Using a windshield visor definitely helps protect the dashboard.

Hi Orlando. Great videos. I am myself owner of 2015 Nissan 370z and Infiniti QX70 2014 5.0 v8. Issue with valve body is actually pretty common with all Nissan/Infiniti cars which are under FM platform. I have myself replaced as well valve body on my 370z and asked my mechanic, he said he changed a lot of them in last 20 years. With Infiniti no issues whatsoever, but I got lucky with buying a pristine condition car.

🔥🔥 thanks Roby! Good to know. All car brands will have issues from time to time. The FM platform has mirror OEM issues but overall very reliable.

I have 2009 fx35 AWD. 178,000 miles . Air bag light on heat and cool front driver seat out. Interior quality problems. Radiator replacement about at 150,000 miles. Oil leak less than $100 to fix. Still love to drive it. Wheel bearings replaced. Great vehicle. Would by it again. Also had a 2007 that was problem free until traded for my 2009. Now have a 2020 lexus that I daily drive now but the fx35 is great to drive.

My 2011 FX35 (QX70) is at 69k miles and has not had a single thing go wrong with it in the 13 years of ownership. It has always been parked in my garage from the very first time I brought it home from the dealer, and I baby the hell out of it. It’s been the best and most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I am now about to pass it over to my 17 year old son in mint condition and I will be purchasing a new vehicle. If infinity had a new version of the QX70, I would get another in a heartbeat, but unfortunately they let it die on the vine.

It is unfortunate Infiniti discontinued the QX70. They made the decision to go electric not a smart move imo. As far as, my QX70 I took care of it kept up with maintenance. Regardless of the issues I still like it. Glad yours still in mint condition.

Nice video! But one thing about the Cargo space. Very good that you showed the Cargo and how much you could fit in there with backseats down.. But what would be more interesting would be if you also showed how much you could fit with them up! I travel with my family and sometimes with a bulldog and we can't drive with our seats down then. It would be great to see that!

Have a 2014 QX70 with 144,000. Car has been extremely reliable. No major mechanical issues. A couple of trim issues like door lock actuators. My third FX QX. Only wish they would bring back the QX70. Lexus would be the only other SUV I would consider but now they are moving to 4 cylinder not sure I would do that. My Lexus with the V8 is also incredibly reliable.

Regardless of the past mechanical issues I experienced with my QX70, I really like it. Like many other car manufacturers, Infiniti is going electric not realizing they’re losing customers. It would be weird to have an FX EV 🤔. I’m not a fan of EVs. If I decided to trade it would be a Lexus GX460, like you said the V8 is incredibly reliable.

@@orlandojacinto1 agree. The GX and LX are great SUV but not as sporty as the QX. I love both the Porsche SUV’s but totally unreliable. Infiniti blew it when they did not market the QX correctly as they did not know their audience and therefore the sales numbers were terrible. I think the QX could be good for 200k plus.

Warranty kicked in and I pd 100 deductible, the Nissan folks were super nice about it and pd the difference for a loaner while I had it so no out of pocket there. I didn’t realize when I bought it that it was malfunctioning.

Some people have commented, the OEM parts used from 2014-2017 are prone to failures. The parts by themselves are not expensive, but the labor is, especially at the dealership…I’m going to a local mechanic next time. I would wait a few more months to buy, dealerships have excess inventory which means they’ll be willing to reduce prices to move cars.

Over 50% of a car dealership’s revenue is from the service department. The Infiniti Goodwill price of $3,500 is probably what a local shop would of charged me (maybe less), rather than the actual 6K repair bill. The next time I need a major repair I’m taking it to a local shop not the dealer.
