5 Reasons I LOVE My 2015 Infiniti QX70!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There are so many other reasons I love my Infiniti QX70. But I go over the 5 main reasons.
The first time I saw an Infiniti QX70 (2nd generation Infiniti FX35, later FX37), I knew I was going to buy one one day. When that day came, it felt like buying my first car! I'm coming up on three years of ownership and continue to enjoy this unique SUV.
The QX70 handles like a sports car and includes the same engine in the Nissan 370Z.

I have the FX50S with V8 engine and seriously nothing like putting a V8 5.0 liter in the Infiniti. This is not like QX70 or FX35 or FX37. This is a giant engine in a compact SUV. A True Beast and Unicorn! Ultra high performance high profile car!

Hi Wendy. Thanks for you comment I appreciate it! Definitely test drive both SUVs a few times. I test drove my QX70 a few times before I eventually bought it. I'm surprised how well the QX70 handles and as well as the acceleration, I feel safe in the car. The rear visibility takes some getting use due to the low sloping roof line. I average about 17 miles a gallon daily driving, but long trips are better. If you decide to buy one with the 18" wheels the drive is more comfortable. The larger wheels you feel more of the road but still comfortable. I never driven the QX60 I've read mix reviews. I would also consider checking out the 2019 QX50. I hope this helps. Good-luck!

I’ve wanted the FX since i was a kid (2003) so when I saw a black 2014 QX70 for sale I had to get it - pretty good deal and in great condition! LOVE how it rides and love the sportyness. Useful insights Orlando - this has helped convince me to buy an FX in the UK. Just wondered if the user manual specifies which type of bulbs the front & rear of the car takes? I want to purchase LED bulbs for side lamp, reverse/back-up and license plates. Thanks in advance

Thanks Dave. I'm glad you found the video helpful. The user manual references the xenon headlight bulb number of DS2 only and wattage of each exterior light. For example, the stop lights (stop/tail & high mounted) show a wattage of LED but not the bulb type, but it is safe to assume the bulb is LED. Infiniti service or an authorized workshop will give you the right answer. I checked Infiniti's eStore it only displays a Lookup code and part number. Hope this helps.

Orlando J Vlogs Thanks again. So I will be the proud new owner of an FX in 7-10 days once the dealership has put right some minor marks and prepared the vehicle, so I will have the owner’s manual then. Having done some additional research over the weekend it appears the number plate and side lights take 501 W5W bulbs and the reversing lamp is 582 W21W. This might be a European naming convention though. Do either of those numbers of wattage values marry-up with your information? Thanks!

Pulling out of Australia?...Wow, did not know. I know Infiniti decided pull out of some European markets in March of this year. Nissan/Infiniti sales are down the entire year. Infiniti especially is in the negatives. Infiniti decided to focus on growing markets like USA and China and electrify their lineup beginning in 2021 and relocate global headquarters from Hong Kong to Yokohama, Japan, in mid-2020. IMO, I think it's safe buy. A big mistake Infiniti made was a change in nomenclature of their cars. G renamed to Q50, Q60, FX renamed to QX70, etc.

The Nissan dealers should be able to do the maintenance. But you should look after the 3.0d (diesel engine) or the 5.0 (one of the greatest V8 engines ever). To me the 3.7 is quite good but the two other options are far better, because they got a lot more of torque (and active rear steer, a feature the 3.7 doesn´t have). I first had a 3.0d and now I´m the lucky owner of the 5.0 (in europe they were sold up to 2018). Up to now there was not a single technical issue and they are so much fun to drive.

Thanks! It took me about two years (with a lot of luck) to find a used 2016 Lexus RC F. Two years of warranty remaining very low miles. Take your time, good-luck.

I'm coming up on four years of ownership. Very reliable. The cost of ownership is reasonable. I DIY most of the scheduled maintenance (oil and engine air filter changes) myself except alignments & tire rotation, etc. Buy one with low mileage and some warranty left. Good-luck!

Pan I have a 2013 model with about 62k miles today. It was called FX37 for 2013 year only but it looks just like the current QX70 model, in and out. I’ve been doing simple maintenance items at home as well including front brake pad replacement (performed once so far). Only thing I had to fix in the shop was a faulty spring in the fuel pump that made the fuel gauge stop working until fixed. Cheap spring but pricey to have the shop take it apart. So far so good.

Handles great and the ride quality is very good. It snowed in my area and it stuck for more than a week could've used an awd then...Snow mode helped a little. Snow is very rare in my area. I did not test drive an awd, but was told it feels a little heavier and average of 15 miles per gallon. I get over 17 miles per gallon as a daily driver and about 20 miles on long trips.

@@waakk1 In Australia the QX70 is only 4WD, & drinks a lot more. I suggest anyone only gets a 4WD if they will use it. A great car but not very popular in Aus., despite a choice of 3.7litre V6, 5l V8 or 3litre diesel. A lot of good cars here that compete such as Porche & Lexus that are much more popular & better known. My 2016 V6 is perfect--very happy with it.
