Awesome , proper sleeper. Even the external mods that are there (stickers, vents, gauges, wheels, exhaust) are crude and could easily be mistaken as tack-on junk!

Early 2000s was the time to be into racing, 4G63s were everywhere.had 2 1G DSMs of my own ,and nothing has ever been as fun as those cars were,at that time period.

All I can say is good lord lmao. Props to the owner for being creative

Damn, that thing is awesome. My mom had one of these for years. I could have actually got it for free but passed because I had another car at the time and it was totaled with some body damage (still ran great). Definitely a cool and unique car. The one my mom had is still in the family and has been for probably 20 years now. Still going strong with about 300K miles and very minimal maintenance.

Cool owner, much respect to him for having such a passion.

This is probably the best background story behind a sleeper. Great story.

Did you know the 4g63 was also in 1995 hyundai sonata 2.0l 4 cylinder but they called it a g4cp engine since hyundai and mitsubishi was together in the 90's. Mitsubishi made engines for hyundai at that time

In the early 2000s people use to put the hyundai heads on 4g63 if they were in a crunch. Nowadays you have the evo x having some similarities in the motor with the genesis 2.0t.

Always wanted one of those but they're rare as hell these days. So cool to see someone build one up like this! :D Evo hood vents are a nice touch. Wide body would be sick.

Nowadays, people are too lazy to even work on their own cars. They often just buy some shitty Ebay turbo kit and expect miracles to happen.

Eric Xiong but many miracles have happened because of the eBay turbo. Amazingly cheap horsepower that has smoked alot of newer expensive cars. Alot more people are fixing and working and tunning on their own car now than ever. The old days it was more expensive to go fast in an import than a domestic. I remember seeing turbo kits in the late 90s early 2000 for 4 to 6 grand for a turbo kit for a civic that acclaimed horsepower boost was only 50 to 60 percent. That's when imports got the reputation for becoming more expensive to build than a domestic. But now you can build a 5 to 600 hp sohc civic engine for 1500 including the turbo kit

Some people work for a living some more then others alot of people don't have the time or even a garage or even a single friend to give them a hand to attempt doing it themselves that's a retarded argument. Performance parts are expensive some of these 1000hp+ builds guys have over 60k+ into there motors. Not everyone can go buy a race motor attempt to tune it themselves blow it up then go get another one. If you like Honda's then yea build it yourself shits cheap and if something breaks buy another but that dosnt go for every car out there some cars are simple some aren't some can be worked on with simple tools and some need special tools so much more to it then saying people are to lazy that let's me know that you are a child that still lives at home and hasnt been in the real world yet.

USA can now import the Mitsubishi RVR N23W which is available with a factory 4g63 turbo, recaro seats, huge yellow fogs and momo steering wheel. They can be purchased for around $2k AUD in Australia which is around $1337 USD...

Damn. Owned 3 Galants and 2 turbo AWD Talons. Back in the late 90s, they were still quite unknown and would surprise a bunch of v8 guys on the road and strip. I'm surprised he could keep his gearbox intact.

@anonymous unfortunately 1g dsm is trading around 2500 at the most the one i have right now is making 500 at the tire and i paid 1000 bucks for it with that power. A supra is in a different class

There was a similar 4g63 turbo awd version of this that was JDM only called the RVR Hyper Sports Gear-R (lol @ Japanese car names). We have a few that were imported to Australia but being RHD only they wouldn't have made it stateside. Good sleeper non the less

In 2003 I got my first car, 90 awd tsi Talon, 5spd. 16g, mbc, 3" dp, 2.5 straight pipe. Ran high 12s. It was enough to embarrass mustang gt's and c5 corvettes. I really only worried about cammed LS1's on the street's back then. Had a 95 gst eclipse later on fun car!!

In the GVR4 world, any AMG pieces are HIGHLY coveted. AMG made very few and they were all non-turbo. They modified so many elements though. The spark plug galley cover is about the most anybody can actually get their hands on. If he honestly has the full multi-piece AMG body kit, then that's incredible. Like lost ark of the covenant level stuff lol.

Had a 1995 GSX with full boltons and a gt2867r turbo amd custom manifold with all supporting mods, wheels/tires, brakes 4piston fronts, coilovers, clutch/flywheels, axles, better rear diff, engine oil cooler with full fuel and ignition. Made 350AWHP AND WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST TO DRIVE. I ended up blowing up the motor so I switched over to an RSX type S with a Kraftwerks Supercharger kit and also makes 350whp. Both are great but boy i miss that Eclipse loo. Im currently saving up for an Audi S5 B8.5 2013-2016 model and do just intake, pulley and tune
