The docking station that you mentioned are great for connecting portable load banks to generators that did not have built in load bank. Took me several years to convince them to purchase the 600 volt rated plugs & ports. Before we installed them we have to remove covers off 600 & 800 amp emergency power panels and tie in load bank cords to spare 100 to 400 amp circuit breakers. I installed 3 heavy hinges on one large panel to make it easier to access breakers. On some panels I would drill & tap a fine thread 1/4" hex head bolt and have threads sticking out top center of heavy doors. Just had to hang the cover on this bolt to take all the weight off when working by yourself.

At the large hospital/ research centers that I retired from they had over 70 ATS'S. Most of the newer ones were the bypass type. Best thing about them is the ASCO or other companies techs can perform yearly testing & cleaning during business hours. 6 sparkies and support people had to come in at 4 AM once a month to test ATS'S in main hospital and two other buildings. For some reason this rich medical campus only liked to purchase & install 1,200 & 1,600 ATS'S even if load was only 300 to 400 amps.
