    @@InfamousCrimeLocations sorry to jump in, but I genuinely suspect that the time of year/weather might be a factor there. I'm not a creator on YT so I'm mostly talking as a punter, but are shorts a good idea to draw attention to the video? Anyway, I'm sorry. It must be so frustrating, especially when you put so much time and effort and actual miles into your videos. The views will better reflect your subscriber numbers soon though, I'm sure.

    Harmin, this one really breaks my heart. I am in tears. Sixty five years, and no resolve. This poor little girl, must have been so frightened, and her mother ended up having to live with the unimaginable. One time, many years ago, me, my sister and my niece, were shopping in a mall. My niece was about 3-4 years old, at the time, and she got some idea in her head, to hide on her mother(my sister) and me. Well, we took our eyes off of her, for less than a minute, and she was gone. She hid in the middle of a rack of clothes, and as soon as we realized that she was gone, the panic that came upon us, was the unimaginable. It's hard to put into words. I felt my heart literally sink. I have never experienced a feeling like that, ever in my life. Of course, within minutes, my niece came out of hiding, but let me tell you, it felt like eternity. I can't imagine, having to lose a child. I can not even imagine, what my world would have been like, if someone really did take my niece. My heart breaks for this little girl, her mother, and her whole entire family. I am so glad you share these stories with us, Harmin. It should be an eye opener for all of us, that people who are strangers, are not to be trusted. Gosh... People who are not even strangers, can't be trusted. We also need to keep an eye on our children, at all times. I think a lot of us believe, that it is not going to happen to me, and that the neighborhoods we live in, are safe, but they're not. Sometimes, our own family members, are not to be trusted. Scary times, scary world. Thank you for allowing me to share, Harmin. I will be waiting on your next video. Take care, and be safe, my friend. ❤️

    I remember seeing tv shows about this cold case and the somewhat recent solving and then overturned conviction. Johnny seemed like a good suspect. Kathy identified Johnny as the killer. Johnny had saved a bus ticket from that day which comprised his alibi. He had said he was at school or in the service but with the bus ticket he had secreted away all this time, he could have gotten to and from the crime scene. I didn’t know about the phone records. It is odd he would save a bus ticket stub for 60 years. It’s similar to a trophy or souvenir that killers often keep. The New York Times or similar did a story on the friend/witness that was so interesting to read years ago.

  • @joshuamendez5208

    @joshuamendez5208

    Жыл бұрын

    Kathy had forgotten that she had been taken by the FBI in 1957 to view a lineup of 5 individuals, while it was still fresh in her mind. At that time she identified the wrong man when she selected a man who was twelves years older and 5 inches shorter than Jack McCullough (John Tessier). That individual was cleared because he lived in Wisconsin, had alibi witnesses and only had been added to the lineup as a filler. Somehow she was able to identify John some 50 years later off an copy of John that had 5 other men from a yearbook that didn't even live in town. Also, it was not Jack that kept the bus ticket, it was his then girlfriend Jan Edwards (Janice Swafford). She had kept pictures of her boyfriend and the bus ticket that he gave her to keep until he went to Rockford which he later wouldn't need. This is all documented in an email she sent to the State Attorney Richard Schmack. Janice would even mention that she was "greatly disturbed by what you (Richard Schmack) say is in Mr Hanley's report". Brion Hanely lied in his interrogation with Jack and in his report by stating Janice said she never seen him the night of the abduction becuase her parents would not let her out. She actually claimed that he did come over but couldn't stay long because she had a curfew. All of the lies in the case led to Jack McCullough receiving 4.5 million in wrongful conviction lawsuits. Jack case wasn't just overturned, he was found innocent. This is corroborated by the 1957 FBI reports that confirmed he was in Rockford. The FBI followed up on his claim of making a collect call and it was confirmed by Sycamore-Ogle telephone company that John Tessier had called at 6:57PM and it lasted until 6:59PM on the day of the abduction. The FBI also documented where the call came from (2-9297 Rockford, later confirmed by Illinois Bell records, subpoenaed From AT&T) that prove that the call was placed from a payphone in the post office downtown Rockford. The FBI also confirmed where the call was sent (3257 Sycamore...which was accepted according to phone company documents by the Tessier residence). This number was Ralph Tessier's home number. The FBI reports show McCullough had contact with the Air Force personnel at the Post Office recruiting station between 7:15 and 7:30PM. This contact, along with the call from the same building, conclusively proves he was in and around the Rockford Post Office from at least 6:55 to 7:30 the night of the abduction. All of this plus the statements to the FBI by his mother Eileen and Ralph that he was in Rockford. His mother also stated Ralph went to pick it him up. There would have to be a MAJOR unsubstantiated conspiracy to make this all happen at the right time. It would be impossible.

    It was a different time. It's not even the 70s or 80s. It's literally the 50s. This is America before the counterculture era, this is Eisenhower, white picket fences, and traditional family structures. I highly doubt any kid is gonna go piggy backing on a random stranger today, let alone him approaching them as an "unmarried man" lol. But you will get murdered over the wrong tinder date tho. So here we are.

    Why would his Mother lie about that on her deathbed?? That phone call from 40 minutes away may NOT have been from him. His Mother may have lied about him being the caller because she couldn’t believe her son was capable of such evil, therefore establishing an alibi. Her deathbed confession makes me wonder if he had told her the truth all along or if she’d found out later. His half sister didn’t waste any time contacting authorities so he may have been a devil & pervert to any little girls he was around. I just can’t imagine his mother lying in the end. RIP Maria🕊

    Just found your channel and I’m totally hooked! Interesting, well presented, respectful and no unnecessary waffling. I’m not a fan of 30 minute stories that could be told in 15!! 👍

    @@InfamousCrimeLocations The Army Ranger’s name is Bill Foulk and it happened back in the 80s. But I believe he still lives in the same house that was involved.

    Sad, so very sad. It is likely whomever abducted her covered her mouth and perhaps shoved her in a passing vehicle. That happens so fast even if that Johnny or whatever had something to do with it which is likely. Don't let young children out like that after dark, it further conceals the perpetrator(s).

    Why would the mom let the child go outside by herself especially in the dark. When it dark play time should be in the house. It so easy to kidnapped s child out of your reach. May the child ready in peace so sad.

    I live in Sycamore. (I was also the one who told my story of working security at niu in the aftermath of the Cole Hall shooting) It's a tragic piece of our history here... I think about it every time I drive in the area she disappeared.
