I understand what you're saying Corine. Pitbulls are actually really sweet dogs and use to be used to LOOK AFTER the little ones in the house. They were known as, "the nanny dog". With that being said, it makes it even sadder that JJ would have been safer if he had been left home alone with a dog.

@@Harley08 I'm aware of that. My point was simple, pitbulls use to be used to watch of children. This man should never have been used to care for a child. Unfortunately many pitbulls are bred and trained to fight or be used as security dogs these days. This man is a monster. A pitbull is a victim of what humans do to this breed. I've rescued several pitbulls and I know all about their temperament. So comparing this man to a pitbull, rabid or not, isn't even close to what this man is, in my opinion, with what I know about pitbulls.

I've rarely ever heard of 4 year olds taking showers. They like baths. Even if the child was taking a shower, why would he leave him unattended? This story breaks my heart. That poor boy. 😢

This. My son just turned 5 and sometimes I'll put him in the shower if we're in a rush because he likes to "swim" when he takes a bath, but I never leave him alone because he doesn't understand that it's slippery. That would've immediately raised red flags.

So heartbreaking. Ladies for Gods sake look out for your children. NO man is worth it.

I feel like the parent who is with the suspect should also be held accountable to some degree. Especially if there's a history of abuse. It's our job to protect our babies, I just don't understand how this can happen right under a parent's nose.

I do not understand it. When I got divorced my children were a bit older(11 and 14) and I wouldn't let any man near them. I did not date at all. They had a hard enough time with their father's girlfriend. She was ridiculous and so young she could've been their older sister. 😂

He looked like such a sweet little boy. Another heart breaking case I did not have any idea about. Thanks for bringing awareness. The ones like this one must leave you a bit drained I imagine. Sending good energy to you !

I’m so sorry for your great loss. My sister has lost two children, and it killed my very core. I can’t imagine more pain but as the mom I know she suffered much worse. I don’t know your religious background, but as a Christian we have the Comforter Jesus Christ, whose words we read in the Bible that we’ll be reunited one sweet day with children that have gone before us. And we’ll have eternity to enjoy them💕. God bless you and take care.

Sometimes it’s too painful to visit, my mother wanted to make it a family visit every year to my father grave but it’s not that we’ve forgotten about him, it’s just too painful. Even now the house still feels empty and quieter. He’s slightly recalled every now and then but there’d be this awkward silence afterwards, sigh

Thank you for posting about such a sweet loving little boy who was stolen from this world far too soon. I remember the day he was born and he was the kindest soul. We used to be friends with his parents and I really wish I could tell you why this ever happened but unfortunately we'll never have the whole story. This tragedy absolutely crushed his adoring grandparents who helped raise him and truly changed all of us who knew him.

I definitely think you're doing the right thing. My friend's marriage broke up when her son was 12, she didn't start going on dates until he was 16 as she wanted to wait until he was a little older for this exact reason. How could any mother entrust their precious child/children with a man who has absolutely no emotional attachment to them? 😒

@@jjellybelmo4 It's so nice to know that there are great mums such as yourself, Jennifer, who put their children first 💕 I'm in the UK and sadly there have been many cases here too of children being killed by their mum's partner. I can't fathom how these women can just so casually and selfishly insert an unknown man into the lives of their children. There was a terrible case here a few years ago of a toddler who was killed by his mum's live-in boyfriend (mum had gone shopping) and the mum had only met him two weeks earlier. My son is now 15, but when he was younger the only people we entrusted to look after him other than myself and my husband were our parents and a couple of close friends whom we trust 100%. All my kids never went to daycare or to a babysitter. You can't trust other humans anymore. Thank you also. After 21 years with the same man, and now not together, it's safer just to stay single and be the best mom I can be. Love from Washington state!

Don't count on that "never" being released part, "life" in prison in Most states doesn't really mean that, it depends on what kind of sentence (on paper) the judge gave.

Moms please be careful who you allow into your lives when you have children.

The worst part of all is that this was certainly not the first time. The mother had to know that this child was being abused and blatantly ignored it for the sake of keeping herself happy. I'm 100% with you. The mom was at work so wonder how much of the abuse she knew about.

What an animal, he deserves all that comes to him now. What makes people so evil, idk but that little baby didn't deserve what he went through for sure.. God bless his soul 🙏welcome to heaven baby boy.

When a child dies like this it just hurts me to the core. I will never understand how anyone can do such a thing to a baby like this.

RIP JJ. Poor baby boy 👼 I lost my brother when he was almost 5 years old. It’s so devastating to lose someone so young. I miss him every day.

Oh wow, I had never heard of this poor baby. It hurts so bad to think about what this beautiful little angel had to have though and felt. I hope he is resting easy . As for that wretch of a human I pray he has no rest !! Thank you for bringing light to his case .

So sad. Thanks Harmin for not letting his memory fade...and bringing attention to the abuse that happens to these poor angels by the monsters who so often they trust.

What a gorgeous baby boy. I hear these cases way too often. It's heartbreaking.

There’s to many children that has been abused or murdered by their Mother’s boyfriend or Dad’s girlfriend. This is pathetic and uncalled for to happen to an innocent child.

People are just so cruel. Thank you for talking about JJ. RIP sweet angel.
