0:50 Baking soda benefits

Let’s talk about the benefits of baking soda. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, which is made from sodium carbonate.
Benefits of baking soda:
1. It can be used as a teeth whitener and as a mouthwash to reduce bacteria in your mouth. Mix 1 tbsp. of baking soda in 1 tbsp. of water and use the mixture to brush your teeth.
2. It can be used as a natural deodorant. Mix 4 tbsp. of baking soda in 2 tbsp. of either olive oil or coconut oil and use as a deodorant. You can also add a couple of drops of essential oil for a nice aroma. Keep this mixture in the refrigerator.
3. It can be used to degrade pesticides on vegetables. Soak the vegetables in baking soda and water for 12-15 minutes and then rinse them off.
4. It can be used to relieve itchy skin. Apply it directly to the skin.
5. It can be used to help reduce acidity in the body while doing prolonged fasting. Mix about 1/8 of a tsp. in water and drink.
6. It may help inhibit toenail fungus.
7. It can be used to help with mouth ulcers.

I mix Himalayan pink Salt with baking soda for toothpaste. I also use a water flosser with occasional hydrogen peroxide. When I used normal toothpaste, I always had plaque and tartar. My teeth have never been so clean since I started using baking soda and salt.. 2 years now. My oral hygienist said keep up the good work. Baking soda and salt make a great facial scrub..no toxins, no micro plastics, and so cheap.

My grandmother was born in 1889. She was a nurse doing the Spanish Flu in 1918 and told us so many stories that happened then. Her family would cook soup and take it to neighbors that had gotten the flu, leaving the jars at the front door and taking previous jars back to wash and refill the next day. As they noticed the jars of food was not eaten they'd know the family was too sick or died, then they'd go inside and remove the bodies. One thing my grandmother told me was that her grandmother would give all the family a teaspoon of baking soda three times a day. None of them in the family got the flu. Did it help or were they resistant?? I don't know.

I saw a video of an old interview of a lady who said they did this in her house every morning on an empty stomach, and that none of them died in that household. I have tried it on the days I felt icky about 2-3 times a month and i have not gotten sick this whole pandemic. I'm not entirely sure it's the baking soda because I also do a colloidal silver nose spray every morning and an oregano nose spray some evenings, I also take a lot of d3 and quercetin and NAC. So I really can't say what has kept me healthy. Thanks for sharing!

Baking soda is, or was, a big thing in the west coast/western isles of Scotland too. I remember many years ago a neighbour telling me a small amount about the flu. He was very young and had to keep the fire going and water brought in and 'clean up'. He just said it was "terrible". I think those of us who heard such stories were a bit more careful during this pandemic.

Dr Berg has talked about vinegar, lemons, and baking soda. These are all very good things to know about. Using my knowledge of them from Dr. Berg, I now have stopped getting cavities, for the last 18 months. 1. Mix 4 parts Spring water with 1 part apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. This should result in about 1% acidity. I also have some sodium bicarbonate in water, concentration not critical 2. After a meal, take 1/2 to 1 ounce of the acid solution. Then do a power mouth wash, by forming a bolus of the acids and moving the bolus around so that all teeth are bathed in the acids under pressure to reach into gum line and into crevicies in the teeth and crowns. 3. When done, consume the acids to aid in digestion (Berg). 4. Rinse mouth with spring water to remove most of the acids. 5. Rinse mouth with sodium bicarbonate solution to titrate the remaining acid. This stops acid erosion of enamel. Expel the sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) wash water. The result is that the plaque, which the bacteria must hide in to survive, is dissolved and washed away, and I have stopped having cavities for 18 months. Thank you Dr. Berg

Number 8: One teaspoon of baking soda can reduce a headache by stimulating hemoglobin to release oxygen into the bloodstream. Number 9: One to Two Tablespoons of baking soda may be used as a laxative by stimulating the intestines to extract water from the body which can help push everything out. Just be aware that you must replenish your liquids and you may be back and forth on the toilet for up to 2 hours. Number 10: One tablespoon of baking soda may be used to have more endurance in the gym or while running. The body creates sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) as a buffer for lactic acid. Marathon runners can have up to a 10% increase in endurance during a race, and this is actually called soda doping! Just note that the amount for a gym session and the amount for a marathon will be different and that I wrote this after number 9 because this will still cause a laxative effect in the body.

Baking soda can also be used as a natural meat tenderizer. I just used it yesterday for pork chops. Make a thick slurry and spread it on both sides of your cut of meat and let set in the refrigerator 15 - 30 minutes. Wash the baking soda slurry off well and pat dry. Use meat as per usual. Meat is so tender! The baking soda raises the pH on the meat's surface, making it more difficult for the proteins to bond excessively, which keeps the meat tender and moist when it's cooked.

Just makes sure if you’re taking it for a stomach ache to dissolve it completely in water before swalling. I didn’t one and it blocked my throat and I couldn’t breathe for a minute. Most frightening experience of my life, thankfully drinking copious amounts of water dissolved it enough to dislodge the block.

I stir a half teaspoon of baking soda in a few ounces of water when I have painful gas in my stomach. It produces a wonderful "burp" of relief. Baking soda with water mixed into a paste makes a good jewelry cleaner. Add baking soda to the water you boil your eggs in. They will peel more easily.

For our family, the most important thing baking soda did was postponed my mother's kidney failure for over 7 years now! I read somewhere that in Europe they would have dialysis patients, or patients with kidney failure, take a quarter teaspoon once or twice a day with some warm water. I know that the doctors thought Mom would need dialysis within a few months, and she has somewhat even improved over all of these years. I suggest you read some kidney medical excerpts. The added bonus is we can sip on it whenever we had spicy food to combat any heartburn. I love it for a natural deodorant, however I am very careful to only use pea-sized amount with a little water on delicate armpits, or else it will burn. To combat the burn, you can rub a good natural deodorant on your armpits afterwards to soothe and dilute the baking soda.

Baking soda is also a great remedy for sore muscles due to lactic acid buildup….drink a 1/4 teaspoon in water. The same amount can be taken immediately after a bee or wasp sting and it will neutralize the acid of the sting. Works better than applying to the sting externally.

There are different kinds of essential oils that can be used in this mixture. You're not stuck on using just one. Essential oils are natural antibacterials, antimicrobials, antivirals, and they're detoxifying. The pink Himalayan salt needs to be ground to a powder if you want to make it yourself. If you have a coffee grinder, better yet, a *Spice grinder* put some pink salt in it and grind until it becomes a powder. If you have a coffee grinder that's never been used, then it's fine to use that. I just wouldn't use a used coffee grinder. 😆 I wouldn't want to put coffee grounds in my mouth or something that tastes like coffee grounds, lol.
